SRL Archive - Banned from RS

So I decided to get back into RS a few days ago and try out goldfarming. Botted iron ore over at the varrock east mine for a while and the 3 accounts I did that on were banned today. I had a feeling this would happen… guess now I know where not to bot.

Time botted: 13-15 hrs/day with breaks.
Script used: My own private iron miner. Fairly sure it wasn't the script though.
Times reported: I know at least once on each account I was reported because I would come back after class and see someone tried to talk to me.
Members: 2 of the accounts were.
Other: I also recently transferred all of the wealth from the 2 farming accounts to my main, although it wasn't even over 15m total.

The new ban screen is scary as hell if you just woke up. I didn't put on my glasses yet and was 2 inches from the screen after I logged in.

This is the script and SPS map that I used. Never got stuck but rarely made more than 1 try at banking something. Tracks the rock after clicking it as a timeout method and also looks for inventory shift.

Where the bans on rs3 or 07? members or no?
also did you use proxies?
Lastly did you get 'gold farming' bans?
When I started getting bans every few days I changed my home ip by calling my ISP and the bans completely stopped. Have yet to get banned in two months.
Sorry about all the questions im just trying to see what kind of advise I can give you to reduce the likely hood of getting banned.

They were rs3. I don't use proxies and to my knowledge I currently don't have the option of resetting my ip (I live in a dorm).

I was pretty surprised I got macroing major and not gold farming. I guess mining iron is such a bad money making method it doesn't qualify.

Awe I see. Where the accounts f2p? From my experience they seem to ban f2p bots more often as Jagex doesn't make any money off of them :P

Personally i am losing bots at very high pace now, higher than ever. I think average dropped from 21-25 days to like 10-12 days recently. The cases where it happenned for me to lose accounts in a day or two were ALWAYS searching for closest object, AlWAYS picking randomly. And AlWAYS walking by sps. SPS might be the case, it is so predictable and that angle is like shouting hey i am a bot. Normal person usually looks where it is going unless it is bored. But sps usually only work at 90 degree angle. Now whatever i do use something like local positioning system by either dtm of minimap or mainscreen object. And for the case in iron mine you were running picking random/closest rocks while real player would have patterns. Like at the

whan you standing in P spot and map is rotated. You mine spot 1 then spot 2 wich is illogical since you need to run arround. In like 5 mins of watching i can tell its either bot or human. Why couldnt jagex tell it in like 50 mins? I got very much examples of random vs pattern looting at both spider eggs and papayas. Random/Closest gets ban in like 2-3 days for me nowadays, before used to work very fine. Also same happens at swamp lizzards. When i had modified ashmans script to bank those sallys bots were dropping like leaves, since his script does illogical moves and ALWAYS run in PLANT TRAP THEN PICK, no matter if there are empty spots and you prefer to plant trap to increase xp/catchs per hour, no matter if there are 3 empty places, keeps planting-picking same spot no matter if other 3 fails to ground,100% certainty of doing action after other action is like saying look i am doing a loop. Very often does prefer furthest, illogical spot, hovers mouse at a bush sommetimes when looting ropes, doesnt loot nets sometimes, try to set traps without having net. It is very okay when you releasing salamanders, got 99's with no issues but when goldfarming its an instant ban, mostly in a matter of like ~10 hours :D Fixed those issues and now it lives longer, but still now i am pretty sure sps walking gives me in, they dont get banned in like 2 shifts of 4-6 hours, but in like 10-12 shifts of same time.

Basicly everytime i run something i get my thoughts confirmed: jagex doesnt give a **** about botting unless you goldfarm.
