SRL Archive - Banned from RS

My main got banned today… and I'm not that sad about it. The leveling I had done on the account prior to finding Simba was incredibly silly and inefficient, so I'm going to right the wrongs of the ban I received… by botting a hell of a lot more :p

Can't wait to see how far I can get with this next account. The first thing I plan on doing is following the Elf City guide I've written. I feel like I should practice what I preach, and if I see anything that could be done better in said guide, Ima add to it.

The scripts I was using prior to the ban were:

• Ashaman's Bonfire script. It got stuck in an infinite loop yesterday whenever it couldn't right click an ember spirit due to the number of players at shanty pass. Probably the final strike that got my account banned. (Not the scripts fault! I still plan on using it on my new main.)
• My Coshing Script. I have a few plans for more antiban… and even some openGL scripting whenever that openGL plugin gets updated :p
• Ashaman's Salamander script. No flaws with this one.
• A private elf city gem miner I was working on…

Wish me luck! I plan on kicking ass with this next account. My only regret for this one is that I'm using the second rs account I created back when I was ten… and it has 'farts' in its name. Eh, farts still rule.

Sucks man! I think my main will be next (I have that feeling). I don't feel like only having a new account, that's why I botted several new accounts this weekend. So I'll have a plan B when the bannhammer is there! ;)

I just can't justify making one of my army accounts a main… I wouldn't have that same connection with them XD. THIS NEXT ACCOUNT THOUGH. It will receive all of the loves.

Sorry to hear. But good fact is you aint depressed. Also ashmans atleast at green got few accounts banned. Thats why i basicly remade it myself. Was like okay gona change few lines but the layout of whole script is strange to my standarts. I mean the logic flow which is way different than i am used to work. But pretty flawless expect could be better antiban in nearly all places and failsafes for example for dropping full invy of ropes and your account picking them :D

No reason to regret the ban XD. Botting is like murder. If you don't have a back up plan, why do it in the first place? :p

Sorry for the loss! I used Ashaman's salamander script for easily 20+ hours over the weekend and botted a total of around 60+ hours on my main. Hopefully that doesn't come back to bite me :p

Because I've been thinking that I should revisit the logic, probably end up tearing the whole thing down and writing that part again. I will probably need a calming voice so I don't burn it to the ground though…

I started making a merch/flip script. Ended with me not capable of creating a script that reads for how much you bought an item in the GE, and storing that in a string. Like this image:

I was planning on making a full automatic flipping script.

I got quite bold. I botted 11m thieving xp in 5-6 days. (Probs at least 10 hours per day.)

SMART. (With SmartBrowserClient active and what not.)

My condolences, I think part of it might have to do with the fact that your main might have been named the same as your old SRL name (I looked him up 2-3 weeks ago and now he's gone). I would suggest a more subtle naming scheme that Jagex wouldn't be able to catch on to like "Gem Knight", "Im Still Viable" or "Outrageous Love" instead of naming your new main "Taric"

I feel like this is a compliment, so thank you. Also Taric got himself into this by asking for outrageous requests. I felt like helping with the mercher was the most outrageous thing possible. If this thing ever gets figured out then he gets at least 95% of the credit. I will graciously accept 5% of the blame in the case it goes south though.

In seriousness though, I've been completely stuck on the last 5% of this script for months now. It's in my head, I can't think clearly when I try to figure it out because it's so wrapped up. At my work they call it a "cold-eyes review" when you get someone else to look over your work and figure out what you've missed. Only having one line of thinking can create blindspots where there are solutions. It's a practice I've decided to extend to my scripting as well. 50% of Taric's skill comes from the fact he's willing to try it on a whim.(EDIT INSERT 25% FROM MAGIC BECAUSE I CAN DO MATH) The last 25% is whether or not he can work out what kind of mess I've created. That part is yet to be decided, but I figure I'll get some concerns brought to my attention in the near future, he said he was looking through it a few days ago anyway ;).

*COUGH* This is what I work on *after* I finish the merchant. PS Tesseract should probably be able to read that text. It works to get the other text in the GE.

I saw a comment about naming characters while I was typing this. I guess I have to change my forum name now… Haven't touched the RS main for about 5 years though, except to log in a couple months ago. Still not banned.

OH GOD.. I was going to say 50/50 then I wanted to change it to 75/25 and made a promise to myself that I would remember to change it. I did not. I will leave it unedited as proof that I'm not-so-secretly an idiot.

OT Sorta: I've never read the highscores but I wouldn't doubt it. A lot of SRL folks used to have serious mains (some botted some not-botted). I know a few people with near-maxed accounts so it wouldn't surprise me if there were some SRL folks way up there.

This grabs the "Shown below is a summary of all your current offers." text perfectly. You just have to choose the box well. Also try the other filters if that doesn't work, there's only like 3 filters total (find them in the tesseract include I think).

But I've found a workaround! When you check your Grand Exchange history the letters are white. This never fails when getting that text! Tomorrow, after I'm done with my superheater I'm going to give it a shot! :D

Never got the 2 day ban. Was insta-perma-banned.

When I got my ban in October last year it was also perma banned with no 2 day warning. I think that they have just given up on letting ppl off the hook easy.

I actually got a 2 day ban on february the 6th of 2015… The ban expired, I still have half of my mute bar filled (green zone) and have been botting pretty consitently since, with no other bans or warnings on my main.

what im trying to decide is how safe my account is and if I should move my GP asap or not. I'm kind of even hoping for a ban since runescape has taken up the majority of my life since purchasing a membership.

That depends on your GP amount and if you have a gold farming script. If you had like 20mil and treasured it without a gold farming script then probably. 100mil and above yes, unless you have a bot army to get it back.

If you are: botting with faulty scripts or for extended periods of time(12+ hrs/day) then a ban might be an issue, otherwise it should be okay.

Instead of hoping for a ban, then just quit/take a break and remember that you can bot it to substitute for you in game while you legit life :)

I would, just do half or more if your expecting to get banned. Although if not it is always nice to have a little bit as backup if you wanted. Make sure you don't lose the email/password for the backup account, if you wont remember then just forget it

yes, even though I have not been caught for a bot busting ban for 3 weeks, my spidey sense is tingling and is telling me a ban is in the near future. I do have a backup account whose information I will not forget. thanks for the suggestion
