So pretty much with this new mini-update we got the valentines special which is
ROSE PETALS!

These awesome little flower leaves are awesome and we love them, it fits in since it's valentine anyway.
So pretty much I wanted to test how good money they were since they are 10k+ gp each on the Grand Exchange so why not buy 75 keys and see how much money we get!

I bought: 75 Keys
I got: 1784 Rose Petals in total
They sold for: 18 748 423 GP in short 18,7M

Anyways if you are looking to make some decent cash on this event and you need some startup cash for a decent price.
Buy some of them keys!



Also I have a theory, buy bonds and you profit?
If someone could test that out please do.

Check runescape.wikia for Rose Petals. Therein lies the answer you're looking for.

Instead of spending $20 on 75 keys, you can spend $18 on 3 bonds and sell them for 30m. Granted you might get more from the keys, I don't think it's worth it banking on that.

Going for bonus xp off TH is around 100gp/xp or so (I think I saw someone do that calculation on reddit a while back) but it does have the plus that it's basically instant. Unless it's like super-protean weekend or something (or maybe a springs promotion since they're so damn high) you won't 'make' any money on TH compared to bonds.

The best time to buy keys though, is when they do that meteor shower thing since that almost doubles all the fallen stars/lamps if you use them on your lowest skills. From time to time, things like that shark outfit thing might be worth it as well. Usually TH is a load of crap, like prismatic dyes and relatively bad cosmetics
