It does not use SDL.

SDL seems to me to be used for games and video-esque software, and not what Simba is used for.

For what ways? What do you mean by "What does Simba use for its ways.."?

To grab images from the screen, Simba uses WinAPI on Windows and X11 on Linux. However, for forms, it uses WinAPI on Windows and GTK on Linux.. but GTK uses X11 so it's essentially using X11.

To process the information attained, it uses functions written by the community. It only uses libraries for certain things:

Synapse library for encryption and sockets.
ZLib for compression and png loading.
Castalia for the lexer and parser for PascalScript.
DCPCrypt for encryption.
LibBZ2 for unzipping compressed archives.
LibXKeyBinder for binding hotkeys on Linux.
XInput library for input/event notifications on Linux.

Not sure if I missed any but I think that's about it.
