Apologies that my first post is asking for help, I understand this isn't a forum dedicated to helping people out but just thought I'd see if anyone knew what is wrong with my Java (if it's Java at fault)

As you can see my Java is displaying in a different language, it happens to another program I use called Pakrat (Java). Sometimes it will display in English, but in a very odd font, I've tried googling and have only found an option to check my System Locale which is already set to English.

Does anyone have any idea as to what is causing this?

Thanks

Actually, your System Locale can have two different settings at once..

I currently have 3 set. However, some programs use ONE of the locales and not the currently set locale.

To change it, go to Regional Settings. As shown below, for programs without Unicode, I chose English:

However, that's not the only place where the Locale can be set..

There's also: Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language

and: Control Panel\Clock, Language, and Region\Language\Advanced settings

And to change the CodePage, you type:

CHCP 65001 for UTF8 –OR– CHCP 437 for EN_US.

in the command prompt.

You can also set it with: java -Duser.country=CA -Duser.language=EN by adding it to your command line or to SMART's JVM parameters.. OR add this to your Java Control Panel:

It's up to you..

Note: Your input might also be set to another language and Java MAY use that as the default. Otherwise try re-installing Java I guess..
