SRL Archive - General Botting Help

Not to sure if it's the script or my smart,
all I know is I had to replace the C:/ProgramData/Oracle/Java
with the Java from my C:/Programfiles(86x)/Java

To get my Smart client to open properly,

The script was running perfectly fine, until it got to the magic trees and shitted on itself lol.

I dunno what you did, but whatever it was you screwed your Java install

Delete every trace of Java from your computer and install Java from here, iirc it's best to install the x86 version even if you've got a x64 machine

Reboot your computer so your PATH can be reset and you should be good to go

Im not the greatest reader out there, but i dont see the word 'error' anywhere in there.

anyway. its from a certain part of the script/include (reflection) that is attempting to look for something thats not there. just ignore it.

That's right. If I'm not mistaken your reflection hooks are out of date.

I thought it was something like trying to access the location field of an NPC that doesnt exist. Meh. if the hooks are outdated with the reflection include, generally it wont run.

Oh, so reflection hooks are outdated. That's why you're seeing the messages that you're seeing.


But … *raises hand* my post is still relevant! Moving files to/from ProgramData is a dangerous game… the folder is hidden by default for a reason

Yeah I know the folder is hidden for a reason, but I only did it to fix the error I was getting before.

The reason I said it was an "Error" is because the script ran perfectly fine,
then once the magic trees were reached it spammed that and no longer moved the character.
So the character just sat there dumbfounded at magics.

I guess the script is just out of date?

well, i guess without checking the IDs of the trees, we dont know of certain. but seeing as its a couple months old, thats probably a correct assumption. :)

after testing multiple scripts, it's just not detecting magic trees lol.

It's just outdated, end of story tbh. The thread was posted in March and is wayyy down at the bottom of the section.

The OP logged in last week so you may have luck contacting him if he's listed any info on his profile

I'd give you a rundown on how to fix it but I don't script for OSRS, much less Reflection

Once the hooks are updated it may word again (are they even broken? idk)

The error doesn't mean the reflection hooks are outdated, it means hooks are broken afaik
