Does this happen to anyone else? My Simba randomly crashes, but only when I type a period or colon. It doesn't happen all the time, just wondering if it happens to anyone else or if its specific to me.

Haven't heard of this before, no. Really not sure what could cause this ._.

theres a large subset of users who claim that basically a . always crashes their instance of simba. but meh. i have never had the issue. the . is due to the code completion, so you can disable that in the settings if you so desire.

How have you never had it? Are you using a different version of Simba or something? @slacky can confirm that it is an issue. It happens to me frequently, so much so that I've stopped using Simba to script unless I really need it.

Yes, that is correct sir. Actually, it happened once. But i have a version of simba i downloaded at somepoint between RC2 and… 3 months ago.

Yes, it's a known issue with Code Completion but due to the complexity of CC, it's extremely hard to pin-point what is causing the crash.

a . always crashes my simba when i am running a script and modifying the same script. For example i run script and i start adding line minimap. -> simba crashes :) Usually it just becomes unresponding but doesnt respond after some time.

Apperantly I might have fixed this according to elfyyy, tho I dunno..

And are you sure when you type a ":", That shouldn't trigger anything…

I've had this happen occasionally when I fool around with code completion a bit too much, and then closing a script tab causes a crash as well.

Exzactly like this. Also sometimes when for example fixed array is out of range lets say i define array [0..32] and in the script i say array[35]:=144. script doesnt crash, works :) bu if i stop it it goes unresponding and isnt responding. Also other things i havent spotted why exzactly but simba for me does crash alot. But its actually no big deal. Since if i dont do stupid things it works perfectly.

I have had the period crash my simba multiple times, however, never a colon

Yeah, I'm sure it happens sometimes when I type a ":", but way more often when I type a period.
