been trying to make a basic runecrafting script for the past.. 6hrs on and off, I mean I finally managed to get it to do what i want, but then lag hits and my entire script is dead


what keeps and or have kept you guys going towards writing your own script? :| at a wall right now and don't think i'll have time to do anymore today/tomorrow

Have you read all of the tutorials? A Runecrafting script wouldn't be too hard (depending on the runes) for a beginner, so you should be able to do it. You can also post a topic asking for help (with details of your problems, including code snippets in

 tags!) and we'll be more than glad to help you out.

Personally, when I have a problem, I'm encouraged by the satisfaction that comes when I solve that problem. Scripting (and programming in general) is just problem solving, and if you like to solve problems, then you'll enjoy it. :)

When i get hit by big failure/ban wave. I just take few days off, have some rest, rething strategy and start making another, way better one :). Basicly every mistake makes you better if you solve it, or atleast try to.

Don't give up. Once you learn it you'll never forget. Also you've only been working at this script for 6 hours (assuming this is your first script). Give yourself time to learn and process the information. Maybe you should do like cosmasjdz does, just take some time to think, rest and come back with fresh eyes.

Perfection isn't built over 6 hours. Keep tweaking it until you are satisfied. Breaks away from coding are also productive, you will free your mind up a bit and perhaps come up with something to add or change. And if not then minimally you will come back with a fresh head, open for different solutions. A lot happens when you sleep or take breaks, you begin to forget things which, in turn, allows you to tackle your problems from new angles.

Just don't give up. Now you are getting to the fun part where it kindasorta works, yet you keep fixing it up to be a craft of your own that you take pride in!

Personally? I quit.

I set everything down and walk away for a few days. But in the back of my mind I say to myself…


Just stopping for a bit, taking a break can help a lot. Sleep on it, maybe. I've had lots of solutions come to me during sleep or in dreams (corny but true)

Currently on break, so scripting is just a way to keep me occupied. Also, I love the fact that because its your own script you can do whatever you want with it.

I load the script (loa8trial) i select a client, and then press run(F9). At first it says succesfully compiled, but when i try pressing 2 to start the script, it says it failed to load bitmaps and some other things. pressing number 1 doesnt paus the script, or pressing 3 doesnt refresh memory, and no matter how many times i press any of the 3 number keys, it doesnt do anything, script stays paused and only gives the bitmaps error.

And also, for some weird reason, after it fails to load bitmaps, and i exit the program, when i reopen it, the script and everything written in it is gone, not a single line of script in it, which means i have to download the file again. This has happened twice now.

Loa8trial was a trial version why do you think it was called trial ? It deleted itself haha.

Self deleting script ftw:) My script i do whatever i like.

Just had a terrible Christmas week. couldn't stop stuffing my face and now it's coming back to haunt me :|
Going to use my bed/sick/rest time to tweak up my script. hoping to get at least the pouch repair part done, then add anti-ban and ill be almost done :P

Just to make sure you won't frustate yourself to mutch: I've just finished my runecrafting script, and I have had a lot of bans. ( every acc lived +- 6 hours )
Just add some breaks ( I break like 5-6 min every 30 min ) I don't know how, but for some reason it helps a lot. I have had 0 bans since I added this, running around 2 days on 3 acc's now :)
what runes are you trying to make and what method do you use? Don't share this information if you don't feel comfortable about other people knowing your lvling/goldfarming/… method!
And just some advice, you need your sleep/rest there's time enough to make the script. And if you're like me you're searching 5 hours for a solution to a problem you'll solve in 30 sec if you've had enough sleep. Yea this happened to me :(
