SRL Archive - News and General

Those of you oldschool enough will recognize the name…Famous for the Kaitnieks News Flashes.

A typical case of Instant-Membership.

All hail VG_Kobra!

Care to enlighten us newbs as to who he is? I only joined kaitnieks a week or so before it went down.

a google search led me to only know that he posted news on kaitnieks :duh:
Yes, more info please =)

Woop.

He wrote News articles for the Kaitnieks site. About SCAR, interviews, RS updates, cheating advancements etc.

Welcome

Heh, I am glad to be be insta-memberized, but I do admit I am guilty about not earning my membership. It seems weird that my past automatically guarantees my future :p

I was a lot of things in Kait's forum. I was basically the Community Guy, helping ppl wherever I could, keeping the community together, and at those few times bash noobs :p

I was the birthday Man for Kaitnieks. I would post threads for well respected members so that thye can get recognized and people can get to know them better.

I was the newscaster as well, I was the Tom Brokaw of Kaitnieks. Giving people what they need in concise pieces.

I also got somewhat involved in Photoshop, I would hold competitions or sometimes I would have them request some funny pic an make it for them.

But my most important contribution was probably in SCAR. I didn't learn Pascal or Delphi so I just instead helped out all the noobs in the RS scripts section and made tutorials vids and packages to help them out. This lead to me having 14 ppd and people thought I was spamming my ass off :P

Then life got better, I was made CM, soon after I got 100 rep, Aryan Came, Private Servers came and then everything went downhill and now here I am narrating my past :p

Cheers,
~ VG

P.S And it is good to be back :D

P.P.S Here are some of my Photoshoppings. They are kinda crude but I can't find my old ones! :(

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/Elvis.png - Me parodizing Kanes Picture :P

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/Elf.png - A member requested it and I made it. Nothing special.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/ROTFL.jpg - Another member request to desecrate a face of a guy he hates

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/p00flake.jpg - the infamous and most hated member, I added the 3 awards next to his name. He was hated so much that he was kinda loved. He actually became an icon lol.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/pwnd.jpg - Pwnd, having 5 posts per day….?

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/SillyPost.jpg - We were all noobs at one time. Even Kaitnieks.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v463/Necrophedius/pikazilla.jpg This is in response to the mods complaning how thye lost all their awards and now a big fat pikachu has take their place :P

I wish I had the one where I put a pic of an old lady on top of Pam Andersen. That was funny as hell :P

If I manage to find some of my more refined works I'll post it :)

Hey Bebe and USMC, good times indeed :D

The reason I wasn't on much was because I was incredibly busy. I was working on a robotics program called FIRST Robotics. I came home around 9 and had to do my hw then and go to sleep at like 11 so I never really had time for computers, the most fun I got was playing Bball in my school. Now its the end of the year and I can spare more time to getting back with my virtual family (right my wife?) :p

And Thank You to the wonderful Welcoming Committee :P :)

I remember you well! I was never famous enough for one of your customary birthday threads though..:p Glad to see you back.

Lol its not about fame, its about contribution. I remember giving out Threads to Senior and Junior Members as well.

I remember you too. I think your the one who asked me the Photoshop question in Abyssals forum.

Well, I don't know you, but welcome to SRL.

Oh yes, I remember you very well. You prolly don't remember me though. Lol I remember p00 Flake too.

I never got a fancy thread for joining members :'( Lol, welcome man!

Yes you did, I didn't :p

Heh, welcome VG, good to see ur in here :)
You never got back at me about that interview though, how's that comming? :)

Welcome back VG_Kobra! Will you be doing news articles for this site too?

Edit: I just looked at some of those pictures. They brought back some chuckles and old memories :S "Pika Pika!"

I miss Kaitnieks so much, I dont think there is any community now that can replace what Kaitnieks was to me.

OMFG <3 those pics.
The memories =)

Oo woot VG_Kobra, I remember j00 :D

I remember the ''prank'' call that p00`flake made rofl

was that the one with the lobbies and walmart xD

Elaborate?

From: c0de
Yes lol!

Man i wish i could listen too that right now, that was hilarious :) at least how I remembered it :p

Heh I don't remember that, but I wouldn't put it past him.

It was funny, I think it was me and Xerxes who kept pushing him to post his pics. The ones he posted literally made it difficult to breath. He was chubby, white and he said that he was a gangster. He put on a friggin Bandana, dressed up in baggy clothes and "wielded" a WOODEN gun. Then he was stupid enough to put his face on a scanner and scan his face, and when he posted it everything was green and ripply. Definitely one of my more memorable moments.

Oh yes, the gangster pictures.

Got to love it!

Ahh, Welcome VB :D ha, those pics bring back lost and forgotten memories. But i remember p00 and Xeres. Flame wars non stop. AHA those were the days.
