My network usage increases dramtically if I run more than 1 SMART client,
The first client is PID 9720 running at under 1 kB/s
the second client is PID 8662 running at over 200 kB/s
They are both running the same script, the second client I start always has way more network usage

any ideas?

It could be downloading the second cache, monitor it overtime and see if it's doing it again in a few hours

I deleted my caches and I'm going to run both clients now and report back to you in a hour or so.
