I suppose I'm supposed to make a 2 year thread and talk about all the great things that have happened here. Even though it's 2 months late…
It's been a long time with you guys and I can say I've honestly hated all of you and goodbye.
[Spoiler="OK"]Fine, I don't hate all of you. In fact, I enjoy most of you, with the only rare exceptions being people that most wouldn't expect :p
Most people in these threads talk about how this site got them into programming, and well that's not true for me. I don't even think it really improved me in any way, it was just kind of something to do in spare time. Truth be told (I don't think I've ever admitted this one yet), I actually got back into Runescape and wanting to write my own bot because of my girlfriend at the time. We were in a long-distance stage at the time and she insisted on skyping. A lot. All the time. Even when we were talking about nothing. It was unbearably boring and I had to find something I could do int he background to entertain myself but that wouldn't be so far as to distract enough that she'd get mad at me. And thus Runescape came up and scripting very quickly followed. A very large portion of my activity and contributions to this community revolved 100% around that.
She and I thankfully broke up without her committing suicide a while later and my activity dropped off here a ton for.. well the little over a year since. Of course I've had some posts here and there since and I've been in the Skype chat occasionally, but I have contributed nothing outside of small help and scripted absolutely nothing in that time. Recently, I have finally got to a point where I have some spare time that I'm not dedicating 100% anywhere. Thus I setup a few bots again and have slowly got back into scripting. A release should follow shortly that is hopefully well-liked by many ;)
So without further ado, I suppose it's time to throw out my thanks to the greats around here and the mehs that I simply like for whatever reason and talk to.
@NKN; We don't talk as much as we used to and you've become a whore lately. But on a more positive note… We've never finished a project we started. But hey! at least we started a few.
@Turpinator; I haven't drank anything lately. I am sorry I have dishonored you.
@serajin; I talk to you all the time. ALL THE TIME. And you're who's getting me back into the scripting game for this upcoming release, so yeah, let's do this!
@Ashaman88; My mind is still blown by that time when you put out something like 12 scripts in one week. That and we're birthday buddies so I think I have to include you and your epic community contributions here.
@Benny; You've had an amazing year at college already, and I hope this current year is even better. Also, we should probably talk more than our 2 message conversations that we have to keep picking up like a week later.
@BMWxi; You should script more. I wanna use your crayfisher again and hit 99 in one run :p
@Sirenia; I feel like you're only using me for my .NET knowledge! Let's talk about something… not programming. #feelingused
@Sjoe; Abridged really needs to do an epic Battle of the Gods, doesn't it?
@Olly; @Brandon; You guys are just amazing. Keep doing whatever you feel like, villavu or not. So many people see great things from you and just want more great things. Don't ever feel obligated, just enjoy it all.
