SRL Archive - Senior News and General

Its been almost 3 years since my last post so I thought a quick hello was due! Also can't really believe its been 7 and a half years since I joined! Feels like yesterday to be honest…

Good to see the forums are still here. How is SRL? Is it still working and developed? How is Simba? Autoing? Runescape?!

Would be interesting to know who from my era is still active or popping by?

Anyway, quick update: working full time as a engineer now… designing subsea oil and gas pipelines. Not really related to scripting at all but the skills I learnt here have helped me throughout uni and in the real world. Met some really great people here and made some really good friends (still talk to some of them!)

RS has changed a ton since you've last played and the overall game has had a decline in popularity. Heck they now have 3 RS games w/ servers & everything (RSC, oldschool RS (2007 era i think) and RS3 - current version).

That's cool about your job! I'm looking to head towards oil and gas with my industrial eng degree (2016), what do you think of your work? Challenging enough?
I'm afraid I can't comment on SRL or RS, haven't done either in a loong time :P

Nice proggy! Its great to see everything still working. There was a point in time probably about 2/3 years ago when development was almost at a stand still.

So is SRL compatible with both 2007 and RS3? It looks like SMART is still working. What about reflection? or is it all based on colour these days?

Oil and gas is such a big industry but I quite enjoy my work. And its an industry that is growing - especially in North America where its booming now. So good time for you to join.
