Lol, a few things on LoL have been pissing me off lately. These things used to not even phase me when I first started playing, but alas I get more interested in the game and start caring how it's played. I literately play ashe 99% of games and it pisses me off when I get a shitty support, because ashe is pretty sh*tty with no decent support start game.


Examples of crappy support players:

1) This one kid playing Tresh Afk's for the first 10 minutes of the game while I'm playing ashe against blitzcrank and Jinx… then starts blaming me for feeding them because i died a couple times. Sorry but, unless I stand behind the turret without attacking any minions I'm gonna die because blitz will pull me in. Either I don't get XP and get blamed for being AFK or I die and get blamed for feeding.

2) This other kid playing annie decides to go mid when there was already a mid.. once again leaving me to solo bot.. luckily their tresh support sucked. Team still surrounded because of team incompetence and b*tching

3) Somebody who plays blitzcrank and can't pull in champions. If you are gonna choose blitz then know how to play him, because IMO blitz is one of the best support.

4) When the support is like full health and im 40 hp and slowed and they are running away not even trying to slow the enemy. Sometimes the enemy could be killed, but would require 2 people so I don't die..

I've been playing league for about a week now. Going into it I had the assumption that league of legends is a terrible game. After a week of this my opinion has not changed. People who wish to play alone simply can't do it. It is 5v5 but 1 person can make the team lose.

Luckily I have 4 other friends so I have a dedicated team. Unless you have a team you will continue to lose because of others. And video games are not fun unless you are winning and you won't win unless you can "escape" from the stupidity of others.

P.S. Ashe is trash

What elo are you? This happens very often in lower elos. Most people would be okay with at least one support champion at higher elos. But yeah, what Camel said, Ashe blows. At least she did when I last played.

LoL is a very good game though, its community is toxic so it ruins the experience.

Can confirm that ashe blows… so do AFKs. Sadly though, the time of the one man carry was 2 seasons ago, when Ashe was still viable =P

Idk though, I'd take the LoL community in general over the RS playing community any day. The amount of elitism from the people doing bosses + DG + 'no xp waste' would make those ragers in ranked crawl back under their bridges. In general though, most team-based games where you don't get to choose your team every time (read: all of them) suffer from the same issue where one trolling apple wrecks the entire basket. I don't think it's something the industry has solved/will ever solve successfully just due to the nature of the game.

I gave both LoL and DOTA2 a serious chance at getting me hooked and there was absolutely nothing about them that I liked. I can understand why MOBA's are so popular, but I thought that they were both boring time wasters with the worst communities I've ever had the displeasure of playing with.

I honestly can't wait for the current MOBA trend to die.

It gets a little bit better at higher elo.

Your first problem is that you play a champion that is hard, requires the support to be good on early game and you have the wrong idea of the best support. I would suggest you look into Caitlyn, Jinx or Varus if you want to win most of your games. While Ashe is very good, it requires experience with it, I can tell you that having a blitz on the opposing team while your support is AFK does suck, but it's still nothing that would affect your farm, you can easily be farming if you just know how to slow him.

TBH, it depends a lot on your elo. I quit playing it for a while and then lost 4 of the 10 games to get into ranked. They put me in bronze :p. I barely lost any game till gold. I always play support, simply because this is the role most people suck at, and this way you can easilly boost your team to the win. The amount of games where did more then twice the damage from my adc as sona, soraka or zilean is very high. Especially as sona. The thing is, until you are a high elo player(which I am not) it doesn't really matter. You can win 4 vs 5. You can even win 3 vs 5 in gold. It just depends on how long you are able to ignore what everyone is saying and just focus on getting a high win percentage instead of winning every game. Because even though it sucks, fact is, if you are close to the right elo, you are going to win like 50% of the games.

You can farm easily with ashe vs blitz… you slow him, and you farm getting covered by your minions. btw ashe sucks, and LOL community too. I often get in and play a couple of games and 50% of them suck, since i get a guy that doesent know how to play, or is just AFK or a troll. At first, you say, meh, its just a game, i'll have fun anyways, bbut later on it starts to really bother, whenn these people make you waste 1-2 hours of your day loosing match after match

I'm a be honest. I see bad things occasionally, like AFK, ragers, or straight up ass-hats. But that's maybe 1 in 10 games. There's a magical place in elo between mid-high diamond and above low gold where for the most people are nice. It's awesome. Teamwork is great and people play for fun, even in ranked. I'd say I see assholes maybe in 1 in 10 games, and almost noone complains about support.

Why does everyone say ashe sucks lol I always win if I get a good support. Then again I first started playing league in early 2013 as ashe and when I started back up in 2014 continued to play ashe

Lol when I first started I wouldn't care if we lost of were doing bad but when you start enjoying games you start caring about how they are played. Like when you first start playing Runescape you might use a iron longsword over a iron scimmy because you don't care about how much more XP you could be getting.

The game's meta might have changed since I last played, so keep that in mind. There were always better picks than Ashe in solo queue, there probably still are. Ashe requires good positioning to play well, and it's not the easiest skill to pick up. Even then, I would pick kog over Ashe, kog is better for solo queue because of his damage and w range. If you have trouble with blitz and the like, best thing to do is learn a lot about lane mechanics, and it definitely helps to play someone like Ezreal or Caitlyn. If you look at higher skilled players, they don't put themselves at unnecessary risk a lot of the times. At lower elos, you can solo most games as adc, regardless of the skill or presence of your support. Focus on the mechanics and adc can take you to a high elo.

For me this was high gold, plat 5 is definitely a shithole though, might've just been the end of season effect though.

I didn't even bother playing once November hit, I absolutely bet end of season stress would have been crazy everywhere. I will say though, that the first game where I truly felt we had legitimately great teamwork and didn't really need explicit conversation to know what we all needed to do was somewhere around plat 4. It's happened a lot more since then, but that was the first game where everything came together so perfectly on a teamwork level. Dat Solo Queue.

Yeah 5s is great. The problem was finding an active team. I would not mind getting it again if we wanted to do regular 5s.

Ashe is a great ADC. I main her and her ult is just way too op.

wow am i not an SRLer?

It can get very annoying, but due to recent changes, people don't afk as much.

well i invested like 6 month game time in this game within 3 years and I can tell you the community has gotten into the dump. It was reasonable and more competitive in the old days. There use to be "good" games every other game, but now it's like one in every 100 games. When I say "good", I mean like close games and teams with good synergy.
