If I alt-tab from SMART to, let's say a browser, it seems to lose focus and any calls to functions such as 'SendKeys' will stop working. Is there anyway to avoid this, or is this an innate problem with SMART itself?

Should never happen at all.. That's the whole point of SMART.. What java version and architecture are you using?

JRE7 & Windows 7; I assume this is a pretty common combo. It's weird that I have this issue then, I guess.

Architecture means x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit).. Is your JVM 32 or 64-bit? What about your OS?
Windows 7 is an OS not an architecture.

64-bit, then.

Try compiling SMART on your system: *don't have 5 posts*
Follow that tutorial. Let me know if it works.

Most people have the problem where SMART actually grabs focus (hostile-takeover style) because it's typing or clicking and the OS thinks it's actually a human interface device.

Is there any remedy to this?
