SMART window loads up fine but simba does not recognise it. BTW, I'm running on safe mode so no plugins are involved.

Your logs are weird.

If the client could not pair the shared memory it wouldn't have continued on to try and connect to a socket (port 0 in your case which is unusual)..

Check that you have write permissions. Check that you have a SMART.XXXX in the same folder as your script or in Simba.exe's folder. Delete all of them. Run your script and check if the file is created anew.

I think the problem was due to write permissions, I CP'd new cache all over which seemed to have solved it for now. But knowing smart, I'll probably wake up with 10+ exceptions :/
