Easier way to test around 6 hour logout?

So as we know, the client automatically stops working after 6 hours. SRL handles restarting the client, but testing to make sure that going past this step can be difficult since it takes 6 hours.

Is there a way to "spoof" the client needing to be refreshed?

Here's my problem (for context): when I start the script, I call a procedure SetupPlayer(). When the player gets logged out, it tries to log back in, which is when SRL sees the client must be reloaded and does so. SetupPlayer() gets called again. In SetupPlayer(), I have a TTimeMarker T that gets T.started. When the client gets reloaded, the timer is getting started back at 0. I have put in a solution to this, but I want to test that it works without waiting 6 hours.

Easiest way is just to manually logout your player whilst script is running. If your script is structured properly and you don't have any infinite loops, then your player should log back in.

function getLoginResponseText(): String; override;
begin
Exit('updated');
end;

Server side. Disconnects you automatically. Doubt you can spoof it. Not sure if powerbot spoofs it or restarts itself.

afaik powerbot requires a manual restart.

Didn't think they had a 6 hour relog.

Ah you're right. It doesn't. They just have that limit for non-vip or something.

non-vip is 1 hour.

Everything else is 6, even premium scripts. :c

They couldn't get the thing working for some reason, idk.

It could be that they think limiting people to 6 hours will reduce how much people get banned. From the posts I saw when I went to check it's something that used to be done but isn't anymore.

Can't believe I didn't think of that :duh:

I didn't mean to literally make the RS client think it had been on for 6 hours, rather I wanted my script to emulate what happens when the client resets, and obviously Mayor's method will work.

Thanks for the replies, all!
