First Time Setup Script

Sets up proper settings so you can start using scripts without touching anything at all!
You will have to switch between Direct X and OpenGL manually for certain scripts so keep that in mind

Set up

All you have to do is put in your username and password.
You have to manually stop SMART and log in to change interface still though.
Looking to see if there is a way to disable smart after run then just explaining how to do it manually.

To Do

Attempting to put in a way to check for a check mark in custom cursors.
Find settings tab on any layout.
Change interface options from there.

Thank You

Off subject I also reped everyone that helped me either make money from flawless scripts or with my scripts in one way or another, I didn't know how to before I just found the little arrows XD

Copy and Paste

program getcorrectSettings;
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$i srl-6/srl.simba}
{$I SPS/lib/SPS-RS3.Simba}

procedure declarePlayers();
begin
setLength(players, 1);

with players[0] do
begin
loginName := ''; //<--- Put your username here
password := ''; //<--- Put your password here
isActive := true;
world := -1; //<--- Not used in this script but -1 just logs 34
isMember := false; //<--- Not really needed but true if member false if not
end

currentPlayer := 0; //<--- Do not change this
players[currentPlayer].loginToLobby(); //<--- Do not change this or anything below blue line
end;
//----------------------------------------------------------------------------\\

procedure correctSettings();
begin

while not lobby.isOpen() do //Supposed to see if lobby is not open to wait random range else start script
begin
wait(100 + Random(400));
end
else
begin
wait(2000); //In case there is a small bit of lag at start
writeLn('Correcting graphics settings');
mouse(point(585, 121), MOUSE_LEFT); //Options
wait(1000);
mouse(point(88, 209), MOUSE_LEFT); //Min
wait(1000);
mouse(point(278, 535), MOUSE_LEFT); //MSS
wait(1000);
mouse(point(215, 502), MOUSE_LEFT); //Any
wait(1000);
mouse(point(540, 406), MOUSE_LEFT); //Custom cursors
wait(1000);
mouse(point(541, 284), MOUSE_LEFT); //Brightness
wait(1000);
mouse(point(90, 124), MOUSE_LEFT); //Tab to Player
end
end;

begin
cleardebug();
writeLn('Settings corrected!');
writeLn('Disable SMART, press play then manually change interface preset to Old School.');
writeLn('After that make sure Slim Headers is checked.');
writeLn('Make sure Hide title bars when locked is not checked.');
writeLn('Slide Transparency bar all the way to the left!');
writeLn('If you have any issues click on forums on main page and read Setting up Simba & SRL!!');
end;

begin //<----- Main loop
clearDebug(); //<----- Clears words in debug box below
setupSRL(); //<----- Client
declarePlayers(); //<----- Calls procedure in order
correctSettings(); //<----- Procedure 2
end. //<----- end. means end of main loop instead of end;

cool idea, I feel like this should be integrated into a check at the beginning of running a script or starting a smart client

if this works, this could be added to the tutorials section in the posts for simba begginers

I have to fix it so you don't have to have your screen at 800x600 but it works for me at least, that being said no more hardly ever defaults to 800x600 or "accidentally" sets screens settings to 800x600 unless they only clicked min and didn't click custom.

Cool idea. You also need to ensure that custom mouse cursors is turned off after you hit "Min" for graphics settings. It's turned on by default.

Updated thanks to some help, just needs you to fill out details. Working on cursor check and find settings for correct layout afterwords.

I like the idea and the update. It reminds me of the older scar scripts that would always check through the settings when started.

Fantastic tool, why not automate the whole thing though (old school, slim headers, etc).

Having this script run on the first start up of SMART would be really useful for new people if it included the stuff clarity just said. Might be hard to rearrange the interface though for certain purposes.

Good idea. Would be nice if to add as a single function to call immediately after logging in. Could add checks to see if certain aspects of the interface need to be changed and if so, change them.

Pretty cool idea, scripts should automatically select their desired preference between OpenGL and DX if you ask me, based on a definition in their script of which is required.
