Hey guys, so I was going through some of my old accounts and found my oldest and actually only ban I have ever recived. If was from a autominer that I downloaded from google, which was just an applet which you drag a eye dropper on the rock and it would go to town mining. It wouldn't really drop the ore very consistently so many times I would come back to it after a few hours and it would still be logged in clicking on the rock with a full inventory.


What are the oldest bans that any of you have gotten, and if you can remember, for what type of bot?!

oldest ban was from 2k13 sept, 1 year ago. i tried to get 94-99 fletch in one run and dced at 300k before 99…

After getting 70m hunter exp. Using an epicbot pro script, back when they were free.

Oldest one was for using Sythe's powerminer, which was a really stupid exe bot (but easy and it worked, so hey!). The mute was for saying "youy guys are g a and then a y".
The macroing major I completely forgot but I did bot a lot around that time, it was probably for killing chickens for 20hours straight. I have no idea about the Manual Permanent Ban, hardly ever played the account around that time..

Hah I think that is the one that got me banned also! At least you were able to get it to work, not so much for me…

My main accounts been through a lot. I got 20 mutes going back to 2008 too lol. Its cool, you can see the 3 year period where I quit.

That's so funny that you didn't get perm'd. Yet people get hit with a perm after one time sometimes…

On my Completionist main

I can't remember which ban was earlier, but I think both were in 2008.
But one of them was when cutting yews using a pretty sketchy bot (took 4 days, perm.)
An other one was when I was using Tasker to train my magic by using Humidify. Took 7 days and left me very close to 94 magic :) Luckily only a temp. ban. Unfortunately that account got banned permanently later for bug abuse :( (Barbarian Assault bug)

I only got into botting (except for auto clicker) after I saw idungeon on rsbbudy

I enjoyed cursing when there was a filter, made me feel like a bad ass :D

Since you login with the user name of the account if it was made before 2011 afaik

I've tried logging in with account names, it just repeatedly says wrong username/password despite being 100% sure that they're right. Resetting the password using the e-mail resets the password of the main account, but logging in with the e-mail just says "wrong password" because it's a different password to the other account associated with that e-mail.

I guess getting the ranks were meaningful to me. Went from the bottom to the top 500 or so players in a small amount of time.
I was nearing 1 bil xp and 3 200m xp skills, I didn't want to stop, but I did take breaks.

Each time I would turn my private to friends, I had friends and others in game ask me how I made the Front Page of Runetracker/Runetrack for most xp in a skill in a day. That probably was a red flag, but I kept going anyway.

Also, I was caught in the first round of the mass ban waves last year; seeing anyone at my rank getting banned before June was very uncommon, there were several like me that got banned for the same reason.

Done that, it sends me an e-mail to change the password, but it always names the main account on the e-mail (first one to use it, I think), and changes the password for it. Trying to log in with teh name, however, tells me that it's a wrong username/password.

I had an account banned in RSC for using an auto-clicker to buy runes from the shop that my older brother set up for me (I was no more than like 6 or 7 at the time haha). I also remember at the time we were on dial-up so my mom would get mad at us for being online for hours and hours. Good old memories

With time and money into a comp account I wouldn't risk it in a long shot.

So got you beat there @NKN - @The_Mayor sold me the bond for it a few days ago :redface: (totally botted in pvp worlds - at fally goblins and gnome stronghold - no reports for sure..)

first one was my 2400 skill total main, banned on june 2013. I quit for a year+ after that… was on epicbot as well. Strangely enough, about 2-3 weeks before the ban, the 40m in my bank had gone missing. Epicbot has always remained questionable to me since.. And i have never used it again.

Then, the powerbot bans. Literally 50-60 of them on mule accounts. Some of them lasted as long as 120-180 seconds before getting banned. Giant waste of time, powerbot has to be the worst botting client around.

An old main of mine, farmed a fair bit of gold on alternative accounts and transferred gold onto this one.
One interesting bit is that it used to be manual ban with comment talking about multiple logging, gold farming, transferring items between one's accounts.

mij old main. botted wc from 53 to 75 at ba willows, i was naïve back then. i got a nice reset of my stats in return

Account was banned at Yews behind Varrock Castle, I still remember that day…..

This is the script that made me so fricken rich back in the day. If only I hadn't abused it so much. If only.
Kept it private for a long time, released it –> prices dropped.

To be fair, I would run this script for hours on end. Who spends all night buying shit from a general store? Bots do :P

I think the oldest ban I ever got was when Aryan/Nexus/iBot were really big. I was never once banned in RSC. Got banned using some mining script if I remember correctly. My WORST ban was my level 96 mage with 90 thieving. Sigh.

I wonder if someone has an account with a ban from 2004 or earlier?

Manual perma ban, and you have *no* offense record (ban meter)? Mute on 2012, so you can log in? What the…how did…HUH?!

As for the topic. I didn't play much runescape, actually. I once used a few RSbot scripts for a couple 99s, including smelting like 120k gold ores in two weeks for 99 smithing. That's when I got it.
Bot got stuck in front of a furnace and was spamming random numbers (type&enter, it was supposed to type a high number for Make X option). It stood there for like an hour spamming it. When I noticed and fixed, somebody went "Hah, the bot woke up!". I persuaded them that I was deliberately trying to fool them, for lulz :D Seemingly they believed me, but…next day…
I got a 2 day MUTE, of all things. I managed to squeeze that 99 smithing and had no trouble out of it after :D
