SRL Archive - Banned from RS

Well I lost my first account. To be fair I was goldfarming like no other on it so its no surprise. I was botting astrals with a script that had very poor antiban. The most human thing about it was mouse(x,y,15,15). To my convenience, my bond membership was due to expire tomorrow so I got my moneys worth.

Anyways, I'm making this thread to ask if I should do anything. I deleted all my jagexcache folders and really anything on my computer with the word "jagex" in it. Should I do anything else?

Please don't reply with anything having to do with my IP. Jagex doesn't ban based of off IP.

You're probably fine, just make the script better before you use it again.

While I do agree with you, it couldn't hurt to unplug your modem for 30 seconds and switch it back on (if you have a dynamic IP). It does no detriment to you, and if Jagex does do something with our IP's that we don't know about (because face it, we don't actually know, we just speculate based on the lack of evidence), at least you'll be safe(r) from it.

Since this is the first time you're banned, I doubt jagex would bother checking on you all the time. However, to play safe you'd probably spend some time playing legitimately to get them off your back.

Delete ALL Jagex Cache, browsing history/cookies, Orion and all its files *if you have it*, and change ip. if your really paranoid, i would create a new local user profile on your computer and uninstall then re-install java, as with java the host has unrestricted access to all personal files and other resources on your computer.

All of those precautions are beyond unnecessary. I've been botting close to 24/7 ever since this on various accounts/scripts.

I'm completely convinced that it was the scripts very poor antiban/randomness. In fact, I went through and rewrote the script that got me banned, I've been using it for 12 hours a day.. No ban yet.
