Hi there,
Recently I reformatted my entire laptop, and I cannot use windows on it anymore.
According to the Documentation on Simba.. there's no Linux installments.
If there are, can I be linked to them? Thanks
If anyone could link me a safe copy of windows to install even if it's XP … i'll be more than happy. (I am not a fan of Linux OS)..

Quick question: why can't you use Windows on it anymore?
You can always use a
Virtual Machine.

For Linux you would either need a sandbox, or as Roboto said, a Virtual Machine. However, I am also curious as to why you can't run Windows. Have you lost your product key or…?
Your best bet is to use a VM, Simba on linux is extremely buggy.

@Kasi;
Linked me to a good windows 7 download that I stuck on my vista desktop. It had no issues but after 30 days you will get a message in white letters in the bottom right corner of the screen that says 'this version of wndows is not legitimate' or something but it shouldn't effect anything you do
google works.

Any version I install the screen resolution is horrible, and as well the network drivers are not working.
I'll post screenshots in a moment, if I am even able to. Reinstalling Windows 7 currently.
The internet connection controllers are missing - Where can I get them?
The display is awful, and before it wasn't like this - Fixable? If so how do I fix it?
- Got a ethernet driver installed, working on it now. Thank you everyone
@Blytez; i'm sure @Robert; had a similar problem with the screen res, no idea how he fixed it.

Mine did that.
All I had to do was install graphics drivers, problem solved from there on out.

The display you have to mess around with the screen resolution, and what do you mean by internet connection controllers?
A lot of issues I had when I installed Windows 7 was the screen resolution and missing drivers (internet driver lol)

I was missing Ethernet controllers and Network controllers (drivers) and I installed AMD Catalyst drivers for the graphics display and found a Ethernet driver, and it's all running smoothly. Thank you everyone.

if you formatted your computer without a copy of the OS cd, try calling the manufacture of your computer, in some cases they will send you a new copy absolutely free!
