Randoms now optional

Well it's official now. Randoms are optional so they will no longer break any scripts. What does everyone think about this? Seems like nothing else has been implemented that wasn't there before to stop simba botting.

I still don't think it would be a good idea to run 24/7.

on a side note, it still might be a good idea for bots to do some randoms, to make it look less like a bot.

Definitely agree, but it's probably only worth solving the randoms that actually give you a decent reward (Genie for lamp, etc). I don't know what randoms are being kept, but something like the Lunch Lady for example that just gives you a useless piece of food is probably worth ignoring because most legit players would anyway.

I would never waste my time with randoms so I don't think doing them would be any form of 'antiban'. To me, I'd just think it was a waste of time, even the exp reward random events.

Some of us would solve them all, some of us would solve a few that we think are useful, and some of us would just ignore the lot. Our personal preference towards solving randoms is irrelevant. To me, solvers for the popular randoms should still be written so that those who would solve them still have a choice.

Then it should be your responsibility to script for the randoms. I don't think there should SRL or even reflection development for them anymore since it isn't required as even antiban.

^ that.. it's just a waist of time to write random-solvers when they are never, ever, ever, ever needed…

heck if you love randoms so much.. solve am manually…

We don't know for sure that it's not required, Jagex may still use people completely ignoring randoms as a way to flag a suspicious player. They completely removed them from RS3 and relocated them, why not do the same thing in OSRS? Either way, I personally think it's necessary, but that's not for me to decide.

They didn't remove them from osrs totally because many people enjoy them, and ironmans need them.

I dont know guys. I'm with solar on this one, not doing randoms at all is a reason to be under suspicion.

Less time scripting for randoms, more time scripting for gains.

The only thing any include needs is a fail safe incase the script miss clicks on the random and gets tele'd (Assuming they are 1 click)

How do remove the antiban feature in scripts so that it no longer uses it and ignores randoms?
