Unbannable Script

Hey guys, i´ve been looking into different methods of f2p moneymaking, and i´ve got 4 different scripts that make around 150-200k p/h. My intention is to put them all into one , like MayorsGoldfarmer but far from that level of greatness heh.

So, i wanted to ask what would be the best way of getting all of them into one script. Since all these methods are near they take almost no time to change from doing one to doing another, i was thinking about doing something like this:

  case randomRange(1,4) of
1..1: DoMethod1
2..2: DoMethod2
3..3: DoMethod3
4..4: DoMethod4

Inside each method i would initiate a Timer, when it reaches a random range between x and y minutes, it would change method by exiting from the loop , thus going back to the main loop which would be just the code i wrote above.

  • First of all, do you think this will greatly decrease the chances of getting banned as i think?
  • Do you think this would work? yes, no, why not?
  • Is there any better way of doing this?

I had thought on making an include with all the scripts and i call it at the begging, so i dont have a 3000 lines script, but 5 shorter scripts in total.

Thank you for reading, Undorak7 :norris:

I believe this will reduce the chances of bans, and stuff like this has been done in the past - although never to a tremendous variety (typically around 4 possible actions and somehow rotating among them, at least as far as I'm aware). However, reducing will never make it 'unbannable.'

For cleanliness and extensibility reasons, I would also prefer the concept of 'mini scripts' that are simply included and extended as such.

The biggest annoyance of this type of project is that each activity needs to have a method of reaching it from anywhere in the world (nodestones help a lot) and setting up all the necessary pieces, also possibly from scratch. However, with that out of the way, it's always a big plus in my book. The variety of locations and actions is what makes Slayer such a hard-to-ban activity, and something like this is unlikely to be any different (and has shown in past projects to be less likely). Go for it!

Yes, bans are almost 100% of the time completely automated. The macro detection system detects repetitive activities and can usually tag you as a bot after a while. For example, if you ran a script no matter how bad it is for 1-5 minutes, you would probably be fine. After a few hours of using a script your likeliness of getting banned is increasing exponentially. But if you combined 4-5 scripts and ran it and swapped activities at a reasonable pace it would take a lot longer for the system to determine you are botting (if it could even determine it at all).

I have a script that crafts astral runes and does herb runs every so often, I just have one big script with a bunch of procedures. Making multiple classes might be a good way to about it.

Good idea.
I'm working on an include-able farming procedure that would basically go on farming runs if you call doFarmRun; or something in any kind of script. The hardest part, like Kevin said, is returning to the original script task. Perhaps that is ultimately up to the script writer. Beginning the farming run is easy via lodestones.

Thanks! getting to the method places wont be so hard, since they are all near a lodestone, or near each other! so it will take little time and it probably wont fail (i will obviosuly add failsafes in every script that start from a lodestone, so i can make sure it doesent fail)

That is a great idea really, it would be awesome to be able to add that into any kind of script as a method of antiban, and it simulates being an active human player really well.

I will begin to do this some time this week and see how it goes. Undorak7 :norris:

at one point i was going to make a 'daily runner' and @Kevin; wanted me to make it so we could turn it into some sort of antiban include… but i never got around to it. perhaps i could try it again.

but i wont. too lazy. :D

True story, I'm too lazy now as well for much of anything. Too many distractions. And stuff.

Once day I will post my methods, but that day is not today ;)

Everything said above is true though. I have a 'transportation section' in my script.

well, i hope i can pull this off cause i need to be able to make around 1.15 Bil a month (RS3)

The only way to know for sure is to test it. IMO, it doesn't matter. Matt on stream has recently said that jacmod updated their bot monitoring software. My guess is Jagex can detect if you are using a third-party client. IMO, it wouldn't be smart to use smart anymore.

If they could detect a 3rd party client they would ban you instantly. Jagex could (maybe still can) detect rsbot's client and its an instant ban. I'm running quality scripts 6-7 hours a day in smart and no bans.

I agree with you man. Unfortunately, I just think Jacmod (creator of rsbot) got our number. I guess we will see. Although the recent bans of osrs botters make me fear the worse.

One way you could implement this and make your life easier is if you use a Finite State Machine as your architecture.

Ummm, no. He was the main contributor to rsbot 2, which is the base of rsbot 4-5-6. Then he went off to make rsbuddy

No, they are currently getting more data on botters using SMART. Once they have enough they will start banning more and more. They would never ban you instantly unless the detection is solid and hard to patch, because it's easier to allow bots to play for 5 hours then get banned rather than banning them on the spot and the devs knowing it's detected.

I don't usually enter these threads as I have more important things to do, but you can't simply state something as fact without providing evidence.

E: Just realised this thread wasn't about smart detectability

You're right either way, making definite statements like "Jagex is compiling more data on SMART" without concrete evidence or a reputable source is counterproductive and leads to misinformation and confusion. We don't know what Jagex is doing, we can only speculate.

I wrote my goldfarming script thing like the same way.

Give it an array of methods and it'll generate info for the account.

methods := ['Potato','Ash Collecting', 'AlKahrid Crafting', 'Swamp Toad', 'Cleaning Herbs', 'Unf Pots'];

then the result

Player test1 has been setup
Login Name: test1
World: 101
Methods: [AlKahrid Crafting, Potato, Unf Pots, Cleaning Herbs, Ash Collecting, Swamp Toad]
Delay: 6 Hours, 8 Minutes and 14 Seconds
Refresh task list: False

randomized delays and methods.
should do that, OP

Don't do a Finite State Machine. It sounds good on paper, but in practice it's poor quality and when the issue eventually comes up that it's designed to fix, will make the script appear significantly MORE bot-like.

I know Olly and I have both mentioned this before in the threads that have been brought up, but the core of the issue is that you're then encouraging the script to run through EVERY SINGLE OPTION of what you might currently be doing, every time you do something. Don't get me wrong, the finalized script will very rarely get stuck with FSM, BUT, when you have to iterate through every option, anytime you do any part of your script, you add significant delays and extra verification actions that don't seem human-like. Besides, if coded correctly, your code flow should be such that you have safety checks along the way anyway.

Trollcrank

2014-09-20 08:25:18

Honestly, I've thought about this and if there were at least 2 skills, a break timer, 6hourfix, and good anitban you could probably run it for over a week straight. The 6hourfix could log it back in, the break timer could be used to make it more like a sleep deprived human and the anitban would basically guarantee the safety of your account.

I haven't tried making one because of how complicated the script would have to be and I'm sure it would be a lot of work. It would probably make a killer f2p bot that would likely be nearly unbannable but SRL doesn't support gold farming.

I was thinking, going with your idea, to use a case random at the bottom of the script and adding it to the mainloop.

MSI used to do this I believe

@Coh3n; released documentation on a proposed "MSI-Downsized" a while back, maybe he can update us on the status of that

pretty sure it fell off the wagon but who knows, we may be able to kickstart it again

Coh3n

2014-09-21 01:04:01

Yes, this was MSI's goal. It was capable of multiple scripts per player if the user desired.

As for a downsize, I highly doubt that will happen. I simply don't have the time to continue with a project like that, and I can't imagine anyone is going to take the time to analyze the code and build from it. That, and the entire project should be reorganized and planned out better than it was.
