Hello i have been perma banned for botting 4 times and i thought they were just supposed to ban 2 days for a first offence? I would have each account bot for 6 hours a day and that was it.

From the banning threads since last summer, the 2 day bans have stopped or are much less common than permanent bans.

do you know how i could bot bot not get banned every day?

The chances of that happening are pretty low.

If there is a way, it won't be easy. Maybe the 4 bans are trying to send a message, but its up to you to decide what the message is.

dont use unmodified public scripts. Because if like 500 people doing exzactly the same day in and a dayout its suspicious and i am pretty sure they tries to compare ur gameplay with the other ones. Personally i modify some antiban, add some more antiban in other places, maybe add some minibreaks. For private scripts i try to do different antibans for each account, also alittle different procedures for example for each acc, i dont keep the same stuff in bank in the same places. and so far never got banned 2 accs running same, but little modified script. What i cant say about unmodified, usually u get all of bots banned unless one of them is glitching then its safe mostly of the times. So in my opinion difference between standart behavious matters. Also very important is most scripts lack of failsaves, if u running high lvl acc, u need to make them everywhere and also failsafes for mainloops too, add timers, i mean if failsafe fails then timer doesnt and ends it. cause the least u want is to get ur acc stuck in infinity loop. I have had mine one worldhopping for like 11-12 hours….. and got banned only cause of that :D Since then i make failsafes everywhere i can, even if it increases the size of the script 3 times "D for example simple fighter was stable at 370 lines, with failsaves its 1100 :D But stable as hell, and also added debug everywhere so i know where exzactly it failed, how many times so i can fix it next time i run. sometimes u run in a situation colors have changed and ur main functions fails every single time and only failsafe is working , but if failsafe fails then? whats failsafe for failsafe? add timer.

so if i add more anti-bans like random clicking and movement also do i need failsafes because i have breaks set?

Those are really three different things.

Breaks would help you control how long or how often you play.

Failsafes check to make sure the script doesn't get stuck doing stupid things over and over. They make sure you give up or "reboot" to a known status.

I would consider anti-bans any strategy that makes your script look more human.

At this point in time I believe this is the best advice.

Clearly something has changed recently and until we know for sure what it was it would be wise to assume everything is detectable. I would strongly recommend against botting for now for the sake of keeping your accounts safe, at least until there's more news on the situation. I'm going to personally assume everything excluding Simba is detectable (including SMART) and when I'm unbanned I'll be running some in-browser scripts as an experiment.

Again, I strongly recommend against botting at this time, or at the very least, using SMART.

ok thanks and idk how to use the official client with simba but i will try to figure it out but i have 3 accounts and if i bot for about 2-4 hours on each one a day i think its safer

Anyone thought of packet sniffing the client yet??? (To see what they are actually sending back to their server)

We used to do that in the old day. Also sending packages. sending at least gets you banned instantly.

I'm currently trying to make a perfect refactorer for the client (fixing my control flow re-arrangement at the minute), once that is done then I will inspect it and compare it to previous revisions to see which bit of netcode has changed =)

Sorry for all your losses.
I also bot in smart but I also use OSBuddy sometimes.

I only bot with one account on OSR and I did my main on RS3.
Are all the bans on one game or both?
Has anyone who uses OSBuddy and smart been banned?

He's right though, the only way to not get banned is to not bot at all. ;)

If you want to know how to reduce your risk of being banned, then do everything that would make you look like an addicted human and not like a bot. Also, don't use SMART, just Orion (or OSBuddy, whatever it is now) or the official client and Simba's target button. To be a human, bot like a human. In other words, don't bot from 12:00am to 8:00am in your time-zone, don't bot for 16 hours straight, don't repeat the same task for 8+ hours straight, don't use the same scripts that everyone else is using (write your own private script or heavily modify a public one for private use), and don't bot every single day. Additionally, don't create a fresh account and then bot it for 10 hours on its first day, ease the account into it and gradually increase the amount of time you're botting, just like you would if you were a human that just got addicted to the game. Obviously you have to do this from a new IP so that it doesn't look suspicious, but whatever.

If you look like an addicted human and not a bot, then you'll greatly reduce the risk of a ban. If you don't want to be banned at all, then don't bot. The general rule of thumb is that if you don't want to lose an account for whatever reason, don't bot on it.

Another key (not sure if valid so much anymore) is to be invisible to the legit players around you. It seems like Jagex are kicking their bot detection into overdrive, but you can reduce your chances of being flagged if you can avoid being reported. Things like training your combat up some before you skill or farm or whatever will make you look human. Pure skillers with lvl 3 combat are extremely suspicious and people are more likely to want to talk to you and ask about your skills (and report you when you don't reply). Wear some armour or whatever people wear to fit in now, you want to look just like a typical dude who wants his player to look sweet and have great skills.
