In this daily D&D you can experiment with turning runes into a sticky goo called vis wax. This wax will extend the duration of most auras by either 50% or 100%, reroll daily challenges, double the duration and reward of daily challenges, or increase your divination location gathering limit by 50% or 100%.
I haven't legitimately played runescape in so long that I have no idea what Auras, daily challenges, or divination gathering limits are.
So my question, do you think this update will actually increase the prices of runes? Maybe making something like crafting chaos runes a profitable venture? I don't really know how important auras or any of the other things mentioned really are.

Rune prices have already started to rise thanks to merchers anticipating this update. I'm sure they'll stay up, but it's hard to know what the lasting impact on rune prices will be until we know more details. It depends how expensive/useful vis wax really is.

Released today. Not exactly how I would've gone about it, but I hope this has the intended effects on the economy. Now they need to do this with other resources to make other skills less useless. Sort of disappointed that this sort of update takes so much time to create, but I suppose going through each and every monster is a bit of a chore.
The vis wax is turning out to be pretty useful, but also kind of overly easy to get imo.
Some excellent botting-related updates, however:
-Essence stored in pouches or in abyssal familiars will now be automatically used when crafting runes, alongside those in your ordinary inventory.
-The abyssal titan and abyssal lurker have had their rune essence carrying capacities and summon durations increased.

So far I am very pleased with this update. Astral crafting is now extremely profitable, astral prices are very high and with the automatic pouch withdrawals one can manage 50+ runs per hour. I'm also interested in actually using the abyssal familiars now that they're worth using.
I'm am concerned about prices though, I feel a lot of people anticipated this and bought a lot of runes to turn a profit. When they all sell I could see a price crash on certain runes (astrals in particular). But, only time will tell.

Yeah, definitely a boost to the rune running bots, but I suspect this will make Jagex harsher on those scripts. A lot of recent bans seem to come from gold farming methods exclusively, so be very careful about this. Good luck :)
