OpenGL Issues

Hello,

I'm having trouble running scripts. It appears my driver does not have current OpenGL capabilities. I was wondering if someone could help me figure out how to successfully use DirectX in-Client Simba, or just to select a world and run the script at all.

All scripts will run until it comes to the world selection of the login phase. After that they stop and time out. I've tried in Safe Mode and normal DirectX, but it appears neither seem to work.

I know for a fact my Intel(R) HD Graphics driver (Yes… The first gen :duh:) does not hold OpenGL capabilities past 2.1. Even with the 2013 updates.

Is there any way to run Simba without OpenGL?

EDIT:

I know how to use non-SMART Simba, and that is what I'm referring to in this. SMART loads and quickly doesn't do anything just as well as the other ways mentioned.

Go to this thread: https://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107256&highlight=directx+beta and get the plugin.

Or you can get it directly from here: https://github.com/Brandon-T/DXI/releases/tag/v0.4

Then just put it in your C:/Simba/Plugins folder.

I have a comp with Intel HD 4000 and an Nvidia card. You might also have dual cards and you can switch between them.

If you can't switch between them, someone mentioned to me that changing the battery mode from power savings to normal or even high performance made OpenGL work for them.

Otherwise follow what "Gunner" said above but use https://github.com/Brandon-T/DXI/releases/tag/v0.6 instead. There was an update in it that fixed two issues.

Go to this thread: [STUPID POST RULES] and get the plugin.

No luck yet. Do I need to compile a certain way or run SMART with the plugin? I'm new to Simba. I'd be better off using MATLAB for coding.

Power is on High Performance. I already checked if I have dual graphics cards, alas, I'm stuck with one. One the bright side, I have three sound drivers? Yay Intel?

You don't need to compile anything. What does your SMART show? Does it have buttons attached to it? If the answer is no, then you didn't load the plugin OR it failed to load.

Run the following script:

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$I SRL-6/SRL.Simba}

procedure show();
var
W, H: Integer;
Bmp: TMufasaBitmap;
begin
GetClientDimensions(W, H);
Bmp := GetMufasaBitmap(BitmapFromClient(0, 0, W - 1, H - 1));
DisplayDebugImgWindow(Bmp.getWidth, Bmp.getHeight);
DrawBitmapDebugImg(Bmp.getIndex());
Bmp.Free();
end;

begin
smartPlugins := ['d3d9.dll'];
SetupSRL;

Show();
end.

You should have a Direct-X button on SMART once that happens.. Wait for RS to load.. Switch to Direct-X mode and press play again, you should see an image..

If your SMART has no Direct-X button or the image shown is black, you need to copy paste everything in your SMART console here so I can see it..

Good news is everything came together like you said… Bad news is the script now just doesn't work. Logins / Selects worlds just fine now. Odd how that wasn't in the earlier releases.
