I hate it when people try to let you out when your trying to make a left turn somewhere. I understand they are trying to be nice, but.. it just causes confusion. Like today I was trying to make a left and this guy stops his car to let me go (and there are also cars behind him) and hes motioning me to go.. without looking for me and there is pretty much constant non stop traffic coming from the other lane. So then he gets pissed off when I'm sitting there for 30 seconds not turning (because he was obviously too dumb to noticing on coming cars preventing me from turning)

TL;DR Don't stop traffic to let somebody in; it causes confusion and wrecks. People behind you don't expect you to be stopping on a main road if your not turning. Also if somebody is trying to let you in, because they are dumb enough to stop cars behind them (thus defeating the purpose of the good deed..)they are probably dumb enough to not look for on coming traffic for you.

I've never seen that in Australia, but it is a pretty stupid thing to do. The only similar thing I've seen is people stopping to let someone turn left (remember, we drive on the left) who is at a STOP or GIVE WAY sign at a T-intersection. They have a damned sign for a reason, it's them who has to give way, not the other way around! :duh:

Yea, people think they are doing you a favor when their not. By stopping and letting you turn left (I guess that's like making a right here) they cause confusion it would be easier for them to just keep driving (them letting you in literally actually costs you time, you have to figure out if their one of those idiots turning without their turn signal on, wait for them to slow down, and then go). Sometimes they stop and if you don't go fast enough they start going again but they start going again when you begin to pull out and it almost causes a accident.. just causes mass confusion lel.

Exactly, then you end up getting beeped at/flipped off/cut off when you don't go or try and go and they've started moving… bah!

I didn't think you could drive.. I was always under the impression you were younger than NKN &/or Sin for some reason :S

Didn't understand the diagram lol..

Robert is the orange car, the guy waiting for Robert to turn is in the red car, Robert is trying to make a left turn, and the guy in the red car is waiting for him to turn. Robert CAN'T turn because theres like a zillion cars driving on the lane that he's trying to turn into, and if he turns, he'll crash into oncoming trafic, the guy in the red car is getting pissed because robert isn't turning.

there was no stop sign on the diagram. i also assumed you were the asshole in the red car. so youre saying he left an opening in the intersection for you to get through? was there stopped traffic in front of him? if so, he did the correct thing. you dont stop in the middle of an intersection.

if you were going to traffic court for anything and you used this diagram, you would lose for sure. i realize a picture is worth a thousand words or whatever, but the only words coming from this one are 'rjj is a stupid' and stuff like that.

That made my day, priceless!

My worst peeve is the idiots who think they can just race up and merge over infront of you without using a blinker. They end up getting pissed when you don't let them over..

Yet I rarely have a problem merging when I throw my blinker on 5 seconds in advance at least. The people tend to slow down or speed up to make room. Weird to think that an indicator could actually indicate that you're trying to merge.

I bet you don't really have a gold Lamborghini you liar
