Been a while, how is botting looking in RS?

Maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.

Is botting in RS any harder than it was?

"Harder than it was" is a relative term. Regardless, bans are pretty rare and scripts are generally easy to make. So I don't know if its harder now then it was during X year but I'd say its pretty easy currently.

It seems to be doing pretty well. I am impressed with how many people still use Simba, and contribute to this site.

Basically, bots like Powerbot have a stupidly high ban rate at the moment and any well written Simba script will run for hours/days without any issues. Multiple people have been getting 99's and making buttloads of gold with Simba, while users of injection bots are being banned left and right.

It's a good time to get (back) into using Simba/SRL, tbh.

As I've understood they are just handing out temp bans the first time you get caught?

Before I joined Villavu a few weeks ago I came back to RS and started with Powerbot, I lost all 4 of my bot accounts over the course of a week, each of them with a "macroing major" offence. They don't hand out temp bans, they just ban you outright and add you to the list.

Sometimes they do, someimes they don't. Don't take the chance if it's with an account you care about.

For OSRS, one of my accounts I made (fresh) got a temp 2-day ban then perm ban next time it was caught.
Another account (from 2011-2012) that I re-membered and botted on (07) got perm banned right away (after being caught)
Different IP's also

will the ban rates for using simba in a browser will be different than using the client ? I'm close to comp but cba to do livid farm legit..Livid farm doesn't require lot of running since a scrip here only cures/fertiles the soil so what would be the chances of getting banned ? i would just be standing in the same spot clicking shits

Exact same thing happened to me. 4 accounts in about 4 or 5 days.

A well written script combined with a browser will give you a very low ban chance, but there's still the chance that you'll be banned, no matter how good it is. If you don't want an account banned, don't bot on it. It's as simple as that. Most of us don't bot on our mains (if we have one), and those of us that do only do it sparsely while knowing the risk.

It seems like it's doing well - I'm surprised how greatly colour bots have grown in the past couple of months.
