How can I find how much HP the player has? I don't want to kill anyone with a script :D
I tried the API but couldn't find anything related to HP.

Alternatively you could use tesseract to get the HP.

The actionbar method has some neat methods you might also end up using in the future, in addition to the getHpPercentage that Mayor listed. Check out the link to see all the methods.

For searching the docs, it might be easier to just go to the index, and try to find a category that what your looking for might be in

As you see sometimes your key searchword might not match, but there still is a method for what you're looking for. (And if you don't find what you're looking for, you'll end up seeing some other cool things in there!)
