Which VPS

Somebody please guide me to a good VPS provider that supports simba bot really well? I have one currently and it just sucks ass with simba bot. For some reason it uses over 80% CPU on my VPS and laggs a shit ton. Scipts cannot even run more than half an hour on my current VPS. I need a VPS that has OPENGL or directX. Most VPS's have shit GPU so it will have neither. But OPENGL or directX is required to run simba right? I am planning to run one bot only and my budget is less than $20 a month.
Edit: I currently use a windows azure vps and that's the only provider I see that has directX support although I don't see Opengl support on it

I'm unsure if we are allowed to post direct links in here but if not a mod can just remove it. (sorry) This place has servers that run Simba pretty well but their service sucks and there is a language barrier because they are based in Lithuania. If you can deal with their terrible customer service then their prices aren't too bad. http://www.serveroffer.lt/?id=dedicated You'll need one of their DS-* packages

Hope this helps somewhat.

If it's lagging and taking up too much CPU for your liking, maybe purchase a stronger VPS with better specs?
Google around, there are countless providers out there.

Yeah like YoHoJo said, just look around.

If you were looking for a VPS to have your own supply of VPN's ,then it doesn't really matter who you go with, and you can get those really cheap $1-5 buck a month ones.

If you're looking to run a lot of bots, you're want a dedicated server. Those cost a lot more (think 50-100+ a month)

How many bots/what is the purpose of the vps you're looking for?

Instead of paying monthly for a server, why not just upgrade your current PC? If you buy the parts and upgrade it yourself, you'll save an ass tonne of money in the long run.

Server up time. If you live somewhere with storms all the time, and power outages lasting 4 days, 2 days average, with spotty internet coverage, server up time is the valuable thing. Plus being able to access it from anywhere. But yeah a physical harddrive could be an option if you had reliable internet/power.

I was planning to suicide bot 24/7 on a main. As I said my 3.75 gb ram, 2 core windows azure can't even handle it. Do you have any recommendations?

I've done that a couple years ago. I ran my PC for 24/7 for weeks and it wasn't worth it in a long run. I toasted my PC because of that. And I live in an area where electricity is expensive so I think investing in a VPS is better.

I might look into it even though it's in another language. How much ram you think i'll need for one bot? I don't even know because 3.75gb ram is not enough?

3.75GB is MORE than enough to handle one bot. You can count on each instance of Simba using about 500k MB, counting both SMART and Simba. I've used Azure before as well, and it handled 3 bots nicely, so I'm not sure if the script you were using was poor, or what the problem was, but one bot is flawless on Azure.

Also…I just can't wrap my head around needing a VPS for one bot. That seems to be such a waste of money. There's no way one bot could toast a PC. The graphics requirements of RS are such that if the PC is capable of even running Simba, it should handle it no problem. I know of several people who have crappy old laptops, and they run one or two bots just fine.

Well I ran it for a month straight and I didn't have the best PC. It uses about 500mb a bot but it uses over 80% CPU on my VPS. Something has to be wrong?

Check all the processes running on your computer. You might want to fresh install windows, it shouldn't be like that, but before you try that, try different version of java. Your computer should run 10 of them just fine

Your doing something horribly wrong if a system like that can't run a bot.

3.75GB of RAM might be enough to run 7, if you have the CPU to back it up. (Assuming small OS) It would defiantly be enough RAM to run 6 though. Multiple people on here, including myself, average 1/2GB of RAM usage per client.

Those are the 5 clients open right now, estimate 1/2GB RAM to be safe

There's nothing wrong with the VPS. Azure throttles their CPUs. They're all virtual cores anyway. If you would open more bots you would see that CPU usage per bot drops to compensate, because Azure is allocating more power to your VPS. If you're not using it, they send it elsewhere.

Ok. I will be back on in the morning I have to go to bed now. The ram is fine but not the cpu. Simba and java itself is using 80%+ of the cpu.
