SRL Archive - Who Are You ? Who ? Who ?

Hey SRL community,

I've poked around the forums from time to time, and learned about simba/SRL in high school a few years ago. In school I thought botting was "cool", then I realized I actually enjoyed playing the game so I quite botting altogether and left the SRL community. I still play OSRS legit, never have, or will bot OSRS, but I am still quite interested in programming(have been for years) so I decided to look into simba/SRL again and give RS3 botting a go. I have no interest in actually playing RS3 legit, I want to cheat it as much as possible lol. Currently I'm relearning the bit of pascal I had forgotten since I first used simba back in the day, and I'm also learning the new SRL-6, which from what I remember about SRL4/5, it's a lot different. I have a pretty good desktop, and am currently running simba through a Windows 7 VM(host OS is Linux ;)). I actually registered on here a few weeks ago but was out of town so I didn't have any chance to play around with SRL until now. Currently learning SRL(and remembering pascal) are going slow but steady.

However I am having a few issues. 1. no mems, or money for mems(rl or in game), and pretty much all the script requests/my ideas are for mems stuff. 2. Haven't played RS3 since eoc first released, let alone F2P RS3, so I have no idea how to make money in RS3 as F2P.

If anyone knows any decent money making methods for F2P RS3, and is willing to share them, that'd be awesome. My account is pretty much brand new with a few wc lvls. And if anyone has any good first F2P script ideas that would be geared toward an SRL noob(bonus if it is decent money making), please suggest them.

I have a pretty good understanding of programming in general(I know what an if statement is, arrays, loops, etc). I currently am teaching myself C/C++ and going to school for a CS degree, but since I have the summer off I have a lot of free time on my hands to do other things, like make RS3 scripts!

A pretty easy script to make would be a normal log cutter + arrow shaft maker. It's pretty much:

repeat

  repeat
    chopTrees(); 
  until tabBackpack.isFull();

  craftShafts();
until false; 

The chopTree procedure would find and click a tree, and then wait until you get a log. The craftShafts procedure would click a log in your backpack, and then cut it into shafts (you can use the functions in the SRL6 productionScreen/progressScreen include files).

Alright, I might give that a shot. I was thinking of a chicken killer too, maybe I can do both, and make a headless arrow shafter to tie them together.
