Can somebody evaluate my workout progress?

I'm not asking people to say I'm jacked or anything. It's just that when I finish a workout and look in the mirror I feel like I look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. I also heard a saying "It takes 15 minutes for you to notice the difference after a workout, it takes 15 weeks for others to notice". I'm going to be taking a firefighter preservice course and am just kind of wondering- do I look scrawny or am I on par. Please post honestly and don't play it up to make me feel good. Attached are some pics of me in pyjamas- I'm 6'6 so my head doesn't fit in the mirror.

I wouldn't be worried about how you look. I think the only thing that matters is if you can complete the required exercises. I don't know where you live or what you are applying for but I found a little information on what you might be required to do.

As a minimum the candidate will be required to complete the following tasks on a daily
basis over an extended period of time:
a. Stair climb carrying a total of 75 lbs. in weight
b. Hose Drag, charged line 75lbs,
c. Equipment Carry, saws, portable fans, 50lbs
d. Ladder Raise and Extension
e. Forcible Entry, using axes and sledge hammers
f. Search through a darkened maze, wearing breathing apparatus and full
protective clothing
g. Rescue dragging a 165-lb. mannequin
h. Ceiling Breach and Pull

Yeah I know that stuff. But do I look as if I might be able to complete those tasks.

Yes you do
Continue with your diet/workout and you'll be answering the questions yourself

I'll just add to why its kind of hard to evaluate my progress for myself. When I started working out I was scrawny, low body fat percentage, and couldn't lift a lot. Then as I saw minor improvements, everything looked like I was on steroids.

You are tall, muscle won't show on your body as someone who is shorter. You may be as strong or stronger than them but you will look smaller unless you are drastically stronger.

If you can do them, it doesn't matter what you look like.

I tell this to people all the time when it comes to hockey tryouts and fitness testing. It doesn't matter if you look like a bag of milk off the ice, as long as you perform on the ice.

You have player A. They can squat 500lbs and have a body fat percentage of 8, but is horrible on the ice. Then you have player B, body fat percentage 15, is terrible in the gym, but is really good on the ice.

Who would you take?
