I have seen lots of scripts using "autoUpdateMe function", i understand how the procedure works, however i get lost when trying to use googlecode, i understand how to use google code to create a new project and how to find the login name and password for it.

What program do you guys use to update your scripts with this, is their a decent tutorial updated or up to date on how to do this? A lot of youtube vids are outdated, the interface of codegoogle in all the youtube videos i have found do not match 2014.

Google codes interface hasn't changed for at least the past 5 years since I've been using it so I don't know how old those videos are. Regardless you need to decide on a version control system you want to use. I personally use SVN and the program I use is tortoisesvn. You actually don't need to use any program at all, you can simple browse your repository and click "Create or upload a new file" at the bottom of the screen.

Yeah see, that is where i am lost, i would rather just "Browse" the files, however like i said in the videos its not the same, i don't have a "Create or upload a new file" option at all in Source/Browse of my account on their.

So i guess i am left with this: http://www.helperblogger.com/2012/07/how-to-host-files-using-googlecode-and.html

I'm not sure what the problem is, but yes you should be using a SVN client rather than uploading it through the repo on google code. TortiseSVN is not the only option, but it is very easy to use.
