Stumbled across this again. Anyone working on it ?

I have had this problem in the past trying to read NPC text :/

I tink it's something you have to deal with or find a way to split up the letters

OCR was never designed to read connected letters, So i doubt this will ever be done. Tesseract is nice though and may be able to :p

The image is no longer available. Tesseract is most likely able to handle it tho, as long as the image is preprocessed properly.

Hey. Thanks for the info.

Did anyone try tesseract with Simba out yet ?. I'm getting very bad results. It seems to be very bad with reading very small fonts. Or I'm doing something wrong ;x ..

It's fine for me.. How are you processing the image? (re-sizeing etc?).

I just made them alot bigger (scaling). Than i could somewhat get a string, but it has many mistakes.. like K = |<… and so on.
