The title says it all :)

I made one, but I'm iffy if this should be released publicly. Can someone with knowledge and experience shine some light onto whether its a good idea or not to release a flax picker to the public.

Edit:
I released it. Let me know how it works out. I will update it accordingly to the feedback I receive.

I doubt it'll have any effect on the economy at all, if that's what you're referring to. Ultimately the choice is yours, it's your script so the decision is completely in your hands, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Yes that's what I was referring to, sorry I didn't make that clear.

It wouldn't touch the economy at all because you'd get stuck in a random within ~40 minutes.

Honestly I don't think it's the randoms that would determine this. First off Simba is not a commonly used "bot", of the very few who use it (compared to the mass numbers who use other java-based bots) even the number who would run a flax-picking script would be low as well. It's a very commonly-farmed item, it'll be hard to put a dent in the price.

Although Simba is one of the only bots that currently can run for ~40 minutes without a bot. Currently injection bots are getting banned at amazing rates. Just to try it out myself yesterday I download PB and EpicB and used on two different accounts, first one got banned before I could even start botting (I had tried loading a script, it was starting and I was banned) and the second made it about 25 minutes before it was banned.

FYI neither account had ever been botted before or even played on recently.

Simba is not a bot, it's an advanced automation-tool that allows you develop bots.

Thank-you for the correction although I fail to see how that is significant here..

Edit: Also Flight describes it as a "bot" in his post too..

It's just a compiler actually. It would be appropriate to label the script as the bot and SMART as the client-loader.

i know what you are saying.. i had a clean account (3 years old). logged in on the EP client to get some data for simba reflections scripts and got like banned after 1 minute logged in.

Errm.. Simba is just an advanced automation-tool. Lape, and PS are compilers, more specifically called interpreters, as they don't turn the code directly in to machine-instructions.
Nitpicking: SMART is not THE client loader, it can however be used to load some java applets.

Was this before the debugging scripts available for the OSR-Reflection include?

That sounds fine to me.
