Whenever I have a script running and I minimize smart, It pops back up again, ruining whatever it was I was doing.

typing an essay? nope! lets watch your script run
playing batman? nope, here let me minimize that for you so you can watch me.
doing anything other than watching me? nope, you get to pay attention to me.

How can I make it so once I minimize smart it stays minimized and doesnt pop back up as soon as the script performs an action?

annyway. Although i was under the impression this was fixed in 8.3, it appears that is has not been fixed for OSR.
Theres nothing you can really do. i tend to just leave it in the background rather than minimizing and i believe it minimizes the how often it will grab focus.

So. try it out. Or just run rs3 where it doesnt happen.

odd, 8.3 is the first time i've ever encountered this problem. Thanks for the advice! Hopefully I can find a perm solution.

I posted this somewhere, but basically just leave it as is, don't minimize, then open up some other program that you can use to get focus on, I like to use notepad. Now just keep clicking notepads writing area until smart window starts blinking orange.

Can also be done when it's minimized, just gota do strong alt-tab if you are using windows: hold alt-tab and switch to another window and repeat till it blinks orange.

And honestly.. avoid botting right now.

Jagex are going ham against bots, you can get banned with just a few minutes into botting.
Only thing with low/no ban rate is auto clicking and item buying from shops.

I haven't noticed anything like that, been botting for 3 weeks on my main account and no problems so far.

I'm a little confused by this as well. I've been running 7 bots during the day and a different 4 at night for a couple weeks now and haven't lost a single account in that time. I know the other bots are having ban/detectablility issues, but I haven't seen anything about Simba, and the "banned" thread here only has 2 threads in the month of May. Where are you hearing that Simba users are being banned?

On Topic: This issue frustrates me as well. I've never seen it restore itself after being minimized, but it does still become the active window and I won't be able to type until I reactivate the window I want. It will eventually stop doing it, but if you restore the window to check on it, you'll have to deal with it all over again.

I got 2 day'ed on thursday using my own script training a spot that no one except me and Shatteredhand use on rs2007, wasn't even botting when i was banned and it was pretty much Bot busting moderate (no mod came and spoke to me or showed more than one dot on the map, i was editing my script but was geared to bot..).

Be very careful when you bot because they don't give out 2 day bans so kindly anymore, if you just bot shop buying then i dont think there is any ban rate for that, just gota avoid the gold farming activities/ main popular areas/ main scripts.

I know for fact the tribot NMZ script pretty much gets people instant bans, which is why i haven't posted the NMZ script i made.. I really don't wanna risk posting a script that gets people hyped out & then banned, i'd hate myself forever.

Define gold farming, the script I use the most is quite profitable (350k p/h) and I guess would count as gold farming but I've been using it for 4 hours straight at times and still no problem.

I think its essential to play legit as well and not just do what would count as "boring" activities (eg : pick flax for 2 days straight) as no human being in the right mind could do something like that.

And then of course, the quality of the script is very important in whether you get caught or not, something as simple as an infinite loop or suspicious behavior in interfaces get you flagged very quickly I think.

Last but not least : random events, those are the main reason people get banned I think.

I am just speculating, i really don't know how jagex works.
All i know they been banning bots more now (judging by threads/posts posted by various users on different cheating sites, jagex are going ham), which is kinda why prices for common commodities are going up (sharks, potions, bones) in some cases by over 100%.
