I'm rewriting a script which has long paths to walk. I've noticed that both OpenGL and DirectX have problems with minimaps.
OpenGL simply doesn't load the minimap until your character moves to a spot which is relatively far enough for the client to reload the minimap. A teleport doesn't seem to reload the minimap either.
I figured I could bypass this issue with objectDTM walking but there isn't anything along the path that is suitable to select.
I then switched to DirectX. DirectX didn't suffer from the initial lack of a minimap, but after a while, it breaks down and black bars appear on the minimap which screws up the SPS map. Again, this issue is resolved just moving to an area where the minimap needs to be reloaded. Like OpenGL, a teleport doesn't reload the minimap either.
I then tried to append 2 different SPS paths, one with the normal map and another with black bars (at this point I've given up on OpenGL). A few days later, I determined that it is impossible to do this because the black bars are generated at random sections of the minimap so it's impossible to splice the minimap with black bars onto it.
Is there anyone who has experience dealing with this?
