Hmm.. Honored SRL member cup?

Well, I was thinking.. And what if, (to keep it secret) we had a cup that all Senior members got (that aren't SRL Devs and up). Like, name it Honorary SRL member award or something.. And then it would be like a scripting cup; nobody would know that we get a new forum, they'd just think it's a cup.

Just a suggestion, let me know what you think! :p

I'm against, just try to keep it a secret area for now, I will tell that can be hard enough. :)

lol thats why I told boreas to Pm scripts http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/forum-t12103.html instead of www.srl-forums.com/forum

this way anyone new WILL read the rules and understand them.

and of course if they dont they do not need to be here XD.

Well, IDK.. I just think people should know of your position in the forums. Why should people know Wizzup?, Boreas and WT-Fakawi are Admins of this forum? Why do people need to know of the developers? Why do you need to know where your boss is in your company?

IDK.. I'm not going to give this away of course, I still just think there should be some kind of cup :p But if theres not then thats fine too. Just throwing it out there.

We want to keep it as secret as possible, we don't want people knowing about it until they get it. Even a cup would make SRL members wonder/work for it, and ask how they could receive it. We want this forum to be achieved by those who show great qualities without even knowing there is a reward.

well we want this to be a secret and if we get a cup well

then they all want to know where u get it :p

theen we tell them then they cry that they want in on it.

I see your logic, but you're forgetting something. People need to know I am an Admin because the powers that go along with that can affect them. For example, if they want their script moved to members (and now Senior) section, they can PM me. However being a Senior should not affect how you interact with others, and therefore it should not affect how you appear to others.

Of course it does affect how Seniors communicate with other Seniors, but we know who we are.

Dumb question, we already said we want this to be a secret, why ask for a cup.
(hehe bitchy)

Soo immature.. Children these days.

Lol, I'm 13 and your like 16 :p

Anyways.. I guess you guys are right, they don't need to know what position we have.. But then again, they don't need to know what position SRL Devs have right? :p

They just know who not to mess with :p

I mean, nobody is going to flame an admin, and the higher up the ranks you get, the less people will say mean things to you lol.

Of course they need to know that! Else people would say "Oh, just give me your procedures and I will commit them!" For all we know that person could claim the procedures to be theres and hand them on to a real developer..

SSRL is a secret position, it's like the Kaitnieks forums old secret 'elite' Community members group, there was no cup for that, no one even knew about it to my knowledge..

Oh.. The main reason I wanted people to see us with that cup is just because you can be more trusted right?

A registered user's trust is very limited, although it does go up a bit with becoming a community member.. but still.

A SRL member has a certain amount of trust bigger then a registered user because it means you can script, but there's so many now that people can't 100% trust any of them (Of course, you can't 100% trust anyone).

A Honorary/Trusted SRL member means that you've given to this community, you are trusted and honored to be here, making you very trusted.

A SRL Developer is almost the ultimate trust.

A moderator has just about as much trust as a developer, maybe a little bit more.

An admin people put all the trust in the world to.

That's how I look at it, doesn't really matter though I guess, just throwing out my thoughts on it, that's all. Don't think I'm like, obsessed with getting this cup out there, just discussing :p

I do see your point, but people can tell who the respected SRL members are in my opinion. I sure could tell when I was at the bottom of the food chain..

I was just thinking…would it be possible to give SSRL members a cup that only other SSRL members could see?

That wouldn't accomplish the whole 'trust-level' thing, but it would help us identify eachother easier

Yeah.. It would be nice because then your not scared to talk to somebody about the SSRL member forum because your not sure if they are in it… :p

But I'm not sure how hard that'd be..
