Hi guys, over the last 2 weeks or so I have been experimenting with bans on both RS3 and OSR.
This is training different skills and minigames using different scripts both from here, custom and using other botting clients.
I can conclude it is nearly impossible to bot on RS3 without being banned within a week if your too passive whilst playing.
I was able to bot for 6 days on a fresh RS3 account which I made members and did a few quests on manually for 6 days using Bikings AutoFighter attacking different monsters for 3 hours at a time taking multiple breaks. Note I did not set it to pickup any drops. Doing the same experiment again, different rotation of monsters, the account lasted 3 days before being banned for Macroing Goldfarmer:
Summary: Combat was the only skill in RS3 that doesn't get you banned within 3 days, I tried a multitude of skills. Dungeoneering(The script however was very bad, only up to complexity 2), woodcutting, fishing and gathering having the worst ban rate.
OSR was a lot easier to bot on compared to RS3, but I was still careful with the breaks and the time I was botting for, I would also change between skills and activities.
On the 28th day of the membership, the account got banned for Macroing Major. This was whilst training Woodcutting on Yews or Fishing Sharks I am well aware that Jagex waits a random amount of days before banning. So I believe this is what they picked up on.
I have spent about $60 on RS membership and $20 on scripts to test some botting techniques. However, I have found a method in RS3 which has, unlike a lot of people has not gotten me banned yet. I have been botting Combat using a premium script which is quite decent. As well as using this other bot client, I am using Simba. My Simba script randomly joins and leaves different friends chats and writes things in there like "I wonder if 75 attack will let me wear a godsword what do you guys think?" just rhetorical sorts of questions that the bot does not have to reply to.
I am sure quite a few of you would be able to make a script like this, it has helped me a lot and I am still working on the script to improve it. Such as adding people near you and pming them questions or random compliments. I plan on releasing this script soon and will name it "Anti-Bot Buster" (if you can think of a better name let me know). I hope this script will help a lot of you out and hope in the future it will be standard for scripters to include in their scripts.
