Questions about Color tolerance methods

So simba doc shows 4 options to detect color tolerance:

edit: oops, I missed this–> CTS tutorial ::http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74908 (thanks Olly)

CTS 0-3

1. So I think I have a basic understanding of CTS 0, CTS 1, and CTS3. But I have no clue what CTS2 does…

2. And also how does these methods relate to OSRS botting? Which one should be used when?

3. I noticed that a lot of textures in OSRS have a constant r/g, g/b, or r/b ratios relative to their surroundings. I made a custom procedure that matches color based on ratios of red/green or green/blue. I am not sure if there is something similar out there already. I am not quite sure what kind of detection that is… is there already a pre-written function for this?

Sorry if these questions are obvious, I am really new to color theories and not sure which one is suitable for RS graphics.

Thank you for answering my questions.

After looking at a couple of screenshots through PS, I can see why CTS2 is so effective. The Hue for a lot of textures barely changes.
