SRL Archive - RS3 Script Requests

So, ehm i have an idea for an mining script, which in my eyes, is jolly good, maybe some of you know it because it seems quite obviously to me and i found it out months ago on my own.
I think it will be not so hard to write, but actually i have no idea cause i am a beginner here (i think i will start learning to script after i am done with my finals)
But you have to notice that this method has some benefits but also some disadvantages.
Okay the benefits:
- when i tested it on my own i had easily 120k mining exp per hour without bonus exo etc.
- you don't need any expensive pickaxes or something like this
- the time to mine is always the same in contrast to regular mining

disadvantages:
- it is only available if you have not done the quest "The Brink of Extinction" (i think there are some people who don't have mining 99 and also don't have the quest)
- thats actually all i guess i will add, if there is more

requirements :
- the quest for The Brink of Extinction and also the skills: defence and smithing 80, mining 72

And now to the actual method:
It is not very complicated, because you just have to start the quest and you get the access to method right after starting the quest, BUT NOTICE it will get unavailable when you move on with the quest
When you start the quest in the Tzhaar city the guy wants you to take more Ga'al to the Elder Kiln (these little tzhaar without memories if you remember the other quest)
and he also wants you to resurrect some of the greatest champions in TzHaar history, and to do so you need some tokkul from them and to do soe you need to mine the statues of them
after some dialogoues he will give you an orb and sends you to mine three statues and thats it.

So and here starts the Method you go to one of this statues which are located in the city (one is south of the teleport option 4 with the tokkul zo)
You are now able to mine these statues and every time you do so, you will get 250 mining exp and 5 tokkul fragments of the statue. These fragments can be easily destroyed so that you can mine again. And guess what, you will get 250 exp each time you mine and the best is, it takes always the same amount of time and you do not need a d pick to increase exp.

NOTICE: this is very important, YOU WILL ONLY GAIN THE EXPERIENCE, IF YOU SKIP THE CHATBOX, WHICH APPEARS RIGHT AFTER YOU MINED. YOU WILL ONLY GAIN THE 250 EXP AFTER YOU SKIPPED IT BY SPACEBAR OR MOUSECLICK.

Seems like a very good find, nice job.

This and the penguin quest are the only ones I haven't done yet. I am almost 99 mining so I won't really be able to grind out the script for some thorough tests, but I'd be happy to have someone else test it for me. I'll look into this when I get home, but you are saying that you get the XP by completing the dialog? Skipping in my mind means clicking to move the character to interrupt the conversation.

Could you make a quick video showing this? Is there no respawn time for this statue either?

ehm yeah i am trying do when i get the time and no, you can mine all the time, but you won't be able to get some tokkul when you still have the fragments in inventory

yeah and then you repeat the process

the time is always the same to mine and the statue has no respawntime, you can go on once you destroyed the fragment :D

So it's a semi bug thing?

i thought bug abuse would be when for example this process would double my money or an item or what ever :D

haha exactly, and thats what i did nolifed this even to get mining 99 quicker than every methodi had access to and due the fact that is near unkown i think we should use it until it is patched ;)

I started blocking out the script, I think I understand the steps required. I'll start the quest later and give it a shot so I know for sure, then I'll grab the colors and finish it up.

Got the script up and going. The mouseover text usually takes some time to load up, so I had to slow down the script to keep it moving stable. It looks pretty good as is, I'll go for a few hours tonight to see how solid it's running.
