SRL Archive - Banned from RS

So, 3 weeks ago, I was 'Bot Busted' for a two day temp ban. This, was entirely my fault as I forgot to set a break handler and let it run for 24+hrs non-stop doing combat at the Varrock Sewer moss giants( fiured it was out of sight out of mind, I guess that isn't the case when your stayong up doing it for more then a day). During this time, I had been running my side account to mine Iron, only taking breaks ~7hrs with a ~4hr break. The main was banned, but my miner was still running strong, is still running strong with 75+ mining and counting. When the main was un-banned, I went right back to botting, this time, with breaks, and using my own Simba scripts. For the last 3 weeks I have been running my miner, my main, and an additional account at the same time with no additional reprocussions (additonal as to the main that is, the other two haven't been bothered and I don't expect them to either). So, I feel this as a waste of my time, if not a troll by Jagex. The message center automated message stating "To prevent us from flooding your inbox with messages similar to this, we suggest you check the game rules" when I recieved my temp ban was hillarious. Not only do they make it sound like its almost OK to bot, they have failed in doing anything further to my account. No missing xp, no missing gps, etc. I do not suggest any follow my course of action and immediatly jump into botting again on their main after a temp ban, but i'm not exactly saying that it would be a terrible thing either.
Trolling me or not, I have tried pushing the limits by running a local OSBot script for agility and not taking a break from 30 - 74 agility (the script makes you look like a crack head with insane speed and excessive clicking), still nothing. My other accounts have been doing small amounts of gold farming as well as my miner continuing his mining adventure.
Thoughts? Comments? I wish to hear them.

The more you click, the better, I seemed to get only one random every 2 hours when I had a bug in my script that clicked a rock couple of times while walking to it. After I fixed this to be more accurate, and only click once, I started getting randoms 2-3 every 2 hours.

That is a very interesting observation… maybe I will look into testing something like that further. I know we have a function that gives us the ability to spam click like a mad man. Is there a way to add an integer value when we get a random to count the amount of randoms we get? I could do some side by side tests. I think getting a small 'team' together to pin point things like this would be benifical to the SRL community. Could even expand on it to see what causes even more randoms and such. I really want to be baby sitting on of my side guys when they come to find me and 'Bust' me botting. Would be hillarious to just be like, "Excuse me?". Throw a kink in their slinky, LOL!

If you got a chisel and uncut rubies, try doing something repetitive and then withdraw 1 chisel and 1 uncut ruby, and cut it, I guarantee you'll get a random.

LOL! Did this making iron knives, did around 9 full inventories and then went and just did 1 bar, got Prison Pete almost right after I finished smithing. That is weird.

Also, modified the MultiMouse function and implemented into my Iron Miner, going to do some side by side test runs @ With and without the function added. Will post my results.

Edit: Haven't done much in the way of testing the random stuffs with the miners. But, i've found out that longer play times also effect random rates. Started getting a random around every 15 minutes after being logged for 4 hours. Actually started to get really annoying since a majority of the randoms seemed to be mystery boxes.

There are a lot of factors that contribute to a ban. Usually, the more un-human it looks, the higher your chances of ban. But, that doesn't mean you can run an extremely human-like script for un-human hours without getting a ban. Just practice safe botting and you'll pretty much be safe using most bots, imo. Just, depends on your methods and hours etc. Be safe and attentive!

I too thought if i was away from players who could potentially report me that i was safe. A buddy of mine was recently banned for botting in an empty world far far away from anyone.
