Returning to the Runescape Scene from 2004.

Hello!

I am not really new to the delphi/pascal based botting scene but the last time I used Runescape Automation was with SCAR (Poop Compared to Auto Rune). This was from 2005 to 2007, and Runescape has changed a lot. Now it seems like SCAR is gone, and Simba has replaced it; I assume this is the case because SRL now revolves around Simba.

My question to y'all is how botting is different now with what appears to be a similar color-autoclicker to that of SCAR? Back in 2007 the biggest anti-ban worries were detecting mod crowns in chat, natural mouse movements and clicks, and anti-random events functions provided by SRL. What new tricks have been developed by Jagex to stop color-picking bots. Is it just as safe as back then?

Before I start diving into Simba, probably would have to familiarize myself with the new EOC Runescape. I haven't really played in a long time since the 2010 HD update.

I do apologize if this question has been asked on the forums before, but I couldn't find a post describing the current state of botting in EOC.

Many thanks,
Shockage

P.S. I don't know if DarkSniper is still around but my forum handle was Scaper back on your old personal forum.

Well there's no more randoms to worry about anymore :) Mouse movements are all good in SRL6. The colors ingame change from time to time, but you if you collect colors from multiple worlds and sessions it should solve that. They also like to do updates that just add in these "realistic" lighting and it just messes with the color. You'll fix the colors and they'll remove the update a week later. One of the biggest problems is an OpenGL bug that causes the minimap to disappear and the mainscreen to zoom in(but the clicks are all off because of this).

Botting in EOC is safe and not safe. It depends on what you are botting. Current things that are being watched are Divination, LRC, and some other gold-farming activities. I'm botting about 10-12 hours a day using bots I made, nothing to worry about so far. I'd say it's safe as long as you use a good bot, don't got 24/7, and stay away from high-ban areas.

The prime time of botting (AKA when getting banned was nearly impossible) from 2010-mid 2013 is over :(

Chances of getting banned are high everywhere I wouldn't even risk my main

Yes, I have noticed that the minimap can disappear, but it seems once it appears, it stays. I don't know if leaving the loaded zone would eventually loose it though.

Is it dangerous because of JMods or some anti-bot system within the game? I noticed that in EOC, mouse hovers are actually more useful, and they added resetting the minimap. These "aids" make me suspicious.

I do notice a lot of bots though. For example people who mine in a mine for the whole night, but they're not working slow enough to be AFKing but not fast enough to be real. They seem to have lagged responses.

It is there anti bot system which is or has created a normal player profile for a set skill vs how a bot plays (my guess) which has caused botting to be quite scary.
