Hey there, so for the past four days I've been trying to get a single script to work in Simba and it's just been one problem after another.
Currently I'm trying to use All in one divination and have not gotten it to run yet, at first I thought I just had an error with the declare players section of the script but that was not it at all, I had to install the direct X plugin, which I did.
Before I installed the plugin, the client would load up and just give me a continuously flashing title screen which said: "Loading, please wait" in the upper left corner, this has not changed since I have added the plugin, but what I am getting now just frustrates me and puts me at my wits end. When I press play on the script to load up the client an error message will first pop up saying: DirectX3DCreate9Ex. The client will then load and do the same as it has previously, sit at the title screen and blink with a box in the upper left corner.
If anybody at all can help me with this I'd be really thankful, I didn't know getting something this simple started could take several days. :duh:

Is DirectX up to date on your computer? I've never encountered that error message/heard of it happening, it sounds like a very unique issue. @Brandon would probably be the best person to ask about this.

Why spend 4 days when you can ask? :S
Uhh try this: .. I modified it to be "less" harassing about that particular error. MAYBE your gfx supports Direct3DCreate9 but not Direct3DCreate9Ex.
I do not remember who it was that had that problem.
Note that in this plugin, I've recompiled it and disabled alpha transparency for debugging as well.. Let me know how it goes and I will make it official..

I still got the error. *Facedesk* I dunno what to do at this point, I've lost all hope.

I said it'll make it less nagging.. Not that it won't show at all.. I did not completely remove "error checking". If you haven't gotten any other message boxes, that means you passed all other tests..
Does it work?

The flickering has gone away but the script will not run, now I'm assuming I did something wrong on the defineplayers part of the script.

So you're in Direct-X mode I assume? Make sure your RS is indeed in that mode.
Then try the following script:
{$define SMART}
{$I SRL-6/SRL.Simba}
begin
smartPlugins := ['d3d9.dll'];
SetupSRL;
DebugBitmap(BitmapFromClient(0, 0, 800, 600));
end.
If your image isn't black, you're fine.

The script ran just fine, I guess I have to figure out what I did wrong with the div script. This could take me a few more days. Lol… :frusty:

Don't feel so bad. You got over the "hard" part at least. At least you know it isn't your graphics card or computer.. I'll of course have to save the changes I made (all I changed was a false to a true)..
Lol where did you get the "div" script? If it ran fine then you do realise that you don't have any problems right? I can try and help you further if you like but I have no clue what "div" script is or means.. I'm going to assume "divination" script but from where?

I figured this all out and now the script seems to be functioning, not the way it's supposed to but I'll figure it out. Thanks for the help.

Glad I could help. Lol I wasn't able to figure out why the script didn't work for me.. I got:
---- Path exists (maps\radiant_wisps.png)
---- FATAL ERROR: .setup(): Unable to load map or bitmap to map failed
I did however bypass that and got it to log me in so that shouldn't be a problem for you hopefully.
So it's working for you now? I hope it is.

The only problem I'm having with it is it will not siphon the wisps that I have designated, it will walk about the area, hover over a wisp, right click it, read the name and then click to another part of the map and just keep right clicking the wisps and the rift in the area, I'll post about it on the actual thread and ask for help there.

How did you get it to finally recognize the login screen? That's where I'm stuck right now.
