When i switch to opengl mode the client instantly crashes. Been few weeks.
Anyone could access opengl mode at the moment?

I can but I know of other that have had the same issues. They've been using the directx plugin that Brandon made and everythings been fine for them.

The DX plugin is color-only. Only his ogl plugin has interception (model/texture IDs etc).
Any idea why you can use ogl mode but some others can't?

not at all haha. Unless it's because they're running the latest java version and I ignored the update. Other than that I haven't done anything different and one of them is using the exact same computer as me so…

Yeah on browser it turns white screen once i switch. On SMART/the official game client it just closes down w/o any error message etc.

IIRC the models and textures packets all came out with the same IDs, making the method of ID object finding useless. I had trouble with OGL and it was laggy, so I switched to DXI and its been smooth sailing since. Could I ask why you need OGL?

No Brandon managed to generate unique IDs. http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104932

I need ogl to run my scripts which rely on ogl interception.

Hmm.. I dropped support for that a long time ago seeing that no one ever used it except Demise really.. Uh to get into OpenGL mode now you must first clear your cache. Delete everything that has Jagex on it. Basically anything Jagex at: C:\Users\UserNameHere

So Random.dat, jagex_cl_runescape_LIVE and the JagexCache folder. If there is a Jagex folder in C:/ delete it as well..

Run Smart in Safemode:

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$I SRL-6/SRL.Simba}

begin
smartPlugins := [];
smartInitSeq := 's';
SetupSRL;
end.

Switch to OpenGL when you get to the main screen. Close Smart. Run it normally:

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$I SRL-6/SRL.Simba}

begin
SetupSRL;
end.

You do NOT need to use SRL-6 for any of the above but I thought it would be straight forward to use.

Anyway, you should be in OpenGL mode. If not, make sure to switch. Finally, load up GLX as usual:

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$I SRL-GLX-Master/Setup.Simba} //straight from the github

var
Smart: TSmart;
begin
SetupGLX(Smart, 800, 600);
glDebug(GL_DEBUG_MODE.GL_MODE_TEXTURES, 0, 0, 0, 10, 0, 0, Smart.Width, Smart.Height);
end.

If all goes well, you should see something like:

I can confirm that OpenGL did NOT work for me before clearing the cache and now it works just fine. I also checked the client to make sure nothing changed and recompiled the plugins with messageboxes embedded.. Still works. Took a few tries at first. The plugin from github works fine.

Was surprised to see GLX still working (compiling fine and everything)..

P.S.
Any of you notice the new mode in the browser though? It says "OpenGLX" in the browser for the beta :l

Well then good on you for trying to script with that. I was here before OGL, so color is where my roots are.

I've been using the ogl plugin all the while before the 04 Feb update that causes crashes… the plugin works perfectly well w/o the need for any major update.

I've already tried deleting the cache. (even tried reinstalling java, updating graphic drivers etc) When i boot into safe mode then switch to ogl, the client crashes instantly. Then when i start Smart w/o safe mode again, it will ask for auto setup, and if i were to switch from DX to opengl it will instantly crash again…

EDIT: what java version are you using?

It's always good to try out new things :p
