i think its mainly going to affect those with the autotypers. i read in a dev blog recently how jagex was planning on how to make trading for the legitiment typers better. i really dont see that many people botting effectively to call for a bot nuke like there was near the end of rs2. there might be some extra reinforcement at like pest control bank or something but thats my guess. some people do have quite ridicoulus stats in the highscores but maybe im just not noticing it. i dont seem to see that many bots

I don't play the game anymore, but just by browsing the first 5 pages of the Hunter Highscores of 07 scape, about a good quarter of them are bots.

I really hope this month. The basic level of the include is nearly ready to be released, I just need to finish the rest of the random-solvers to, at least, detect random events and then comes the long boring process of documenting everything. So let's say sometime this month I hope.

Purging the game from bots every now and then is nothing but good, wonder if they plan to nuke only osrs or rs3 too, if its only osrs then I think they will implement similar to osrs to what they currently have in rs3

I've only logged into RS3 three times total so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a lot of bots running around there as well? Because that post was made in the OSRS section I would assume the nuke is specifically directed towards OSRS.

Was abit quick on the posting and forgot to say that I meant they would perhaps impl rs3 obfuscation to osrs, im not active in either game really but from what ive heard is that people get hammered both quick and hard in rs3 :)

I think the reason my account has not been banned is because it is on the penny membership trial. I created a new account and used the same script and got banned before level 40 hunter.

Its most likely going to be released next week (just asked to a jmod) i think you guys should check the livestream on twitch in 10 minutes.

So it will begin, trials went perfect.

I wouldn't if I were you just to be safe.
But then again, if you botted in the past few days, you are at risk already.
I'd stop and wait it out to see what news comes out, and I'll keep this updated if I find any new stoof.

Thankyou for the warning, its intresting that they seem to detetect the bots difrently between the games as RS3 has a lot less bots than OldSchool. thanks for the post.

I wonder if it's a clusterflutter like the one that scrambled most of the reflection & injection bots before. In that case my only concern is if SMART will need a bit of tweaking, otherwise nothing will be effected in Simba/SRL/AL.

I think they are only going to implement botwatch..

So about the account with 20m hunter exp:
The account isn't banned and it doesn't have any infractions, but I can't log into it. When I try to login the game crashes. This ONLY happens when I try to login to that account.

even when you try it on a different computer in a diff location? i dont think jagex would crash your browser lol

I only have 1 computer lol. And it crashes in every browser and the official client.

ban wave seems to be hitting nature crafters hard i heard

One of my accounts did this - it was the graphics settings that Jagex have messed up somehow - I held the S key when starting and it went in okay in safe mode. I'm sure you've tried this but thought worth a mention….

That didn't work, but changing around the graphics settings while the the lobby did. No ban :)

Well assuming that your Aero Lib include is color only, then it really shouldn't "break" unless i'm missing something here. Or if it's not setup like srl to withstand changes within the client meant to break reflection or injection.

The previous bot nuke came with visual changes as well that broke quite a lot in SRL itself; we were down for days if you recall. This is what I'd like to avoid, and yes, 'tis color.

The world switching thing is already implemented. I don't know if there will be any color changes.

I know later in the forum post on the 'hidden bot monitoring worlds', few pages in, Mark talks about the 'hope for it to be released on Thursday'(Today's update), although he also states prior that it has been used so far in specific areas. I also heard that is was possible to get into these 'hidden worlds' on Wednesday through your web browser IE 'OldSchool.19.Runescape.com' or however it goes and putting the hidden world numbers in(do not know how factual it is). So, as of now, we just have to wait for system update in like 6hrs or so and find out what they did and didn't do on the subject of the 'hidden world' stuff.

EDIT: I will try and find where I saw that people were entering the 'hidden worlds', I believe they were claiming the hidden worlds to be like 86/85? If else, well then I won't find it.

ya its 85, i was just logged into it. sounds like a neat way to handle bots but they dont mention how one is actually flaged to be moved to a new world to be monitored more so im curious as to how its going to turn out.

Just exaggerating the claim that they have stepped up ICU investigations and banning more often these days as opposed to pre-RS3.
They forgot to mention that a ton of people quit when RS3 came out, and implying that banning more players in a now smaller playerbase is a good thing.

i hate these what good does it do anyway when they cut half of the time off when people are skilling or pvming bots won die

Runescape staff members(Mods) are complete trolls. When Andrew Gower was running things, that is when Runescape was actually at its prime and the professionalism made users to think twice to even say anything negative towards Jagex, since consequences were not as lenient as they are today.

Well Andrew Gower moved on and is now living his life with the net worth of 650+ million dollars.

While we bot through this 'up-coming "BOT NUKE" of OSR', just like last time.

OT: What is the nature of these hidden worlds? Are flagged accounts "forced" onto them, unable to switch to regular worlds? If not, could some world check be used.
e.g. if current world = 385/386 then hop worlds?

Oh haha, silly me.

And it depends, when people pm him/tweet him to check on world 'xxx' about 'player xxxx', he usually logs on to that world, and starts the sweeping. Otherwise its random

Worlds 385/386 are hidden worlds that can only be accessed via URL, but it does not restrict other "legit" players from going in there. I guess that it only affects clients and Jagex whitelisted non-botting clients such as Orion, and then made the other clients automatically set those worlds as defult worlds, but then, it's only speculations. I personally like to train in those worlds because in some places, it's not that crowded as in other worlds.
