With both web and official client Runescape seems to freeze at random but only when certain actions are executed. I discovered it would freeze when jumping over the wildy wall. A friend of mine got frozen web client 3 times in a row while in gwd. Like it's some part of the game that has problem loading. Any fix? I made a thread on rs official forums but it was locked and I was prompted to file a bug report, as if I would even bother:pinch:

I've been getting this today also.. Logged into rs3 earlier, went to lobby and I was forced to reset my graphics options. Clicking the auto-setup button (which is the only available button) will give me a black screen which says [Profiling] before crashing SMART. On the official rs3 client, it goes to a white screen..

Strange.. I can't get directx version to load either, same thing happens..
I've seen other people posting this error in the past few days.. There's also a topic in the rs3 forums about this, but no solutions :/ Just a general *we are trying to fix our mistake* statement

You must enter an intermediate graphics mode state.. Aka safe mode first then you may enter the mode you want. Auto-Setup automatically chooses OpenGL.

Until they fix the bug, that's the only way I can get into any mode.

Thanks man, that did the trick.
I'd already seen something you posted about this and I did try to boot into safe mode using SMART and the webclient with no luck, I had to use the downloadable game client for some reason..

I tried to tell @Olly; this.. :l
I got into safe mode using the browser then I loaded smart. It asked if I want to change graphic settings and you press no, it'll stay in safe mode then you can manually choose your desired mode.

I', confused. That just fixes the problem wehre people can't get past auto setp, and not the ingame freezing issue, yes?

Yes.. Any other issues must be solves on Jagex's side. There's no way for us to fix it.

ty. No, I just hoped for it to be a glitch with a certain graphic settings or something.
