Hey,

I am running Simba on VMware workstation. I keep getting "Cannot enter that display mode" error when I try to switch to OpenGL. I tried many browsers, RS client, changing the JAVA path. Any ahs experienced the same issue? Will be glad for any help!

Do you have VMWare tools installed on it? It should already have hardware acceleration enabled by default so I don't think that's the issue.

Yeah, I do. When I turn the acceleration ON, the client/browser crashes as soon as I click Auto setup button. When it's OFF, I get the mentioned error message..

OpenGL has been having an issue with numerous amounts of people ever since the most recent update. Jagex messed something up on their end so OpenGL will not work for everyone. You can manually download Brandons DirectX plugin and use that. DirectX still works fine.

Yeah then it's something wrong with hadware acceleration for your VM. What exact OS are you using? You can also try allocating more video memory if you haven't tried that.
