After reading the threads about UID and speculation its encryped and contains data about your accounts like usernames and passwords id like to clear some things up.

Heres the code from the applet itself.
int i = -1;
Random random = new Random();
for (; i == -1; i = random.nextInt())
{}
DataOutputStream dataoutputstream = (new DataOutputStream(new FileOutputStream("uid.dat")));
dataoutputstream.writeInt(i);
dataoutputstream.close();

All it does is generate an id and writes it to uid.dat. The file is not encrypted and contains only a number.

But why?

UID stands for unique ID, and thats all it is. The file contains a random number to ID the computer.

It prevents multiple logins + it ID's the computer.

Logging in with the same IP + UID suggests that you're on the same computer.

You can get around it by using signed + unsigned but this method is shit, unsigned takes to long to load and is laggy. The simple way is to just delete the uid.dat after logging in.

From memory unsigned doesnt access the UID in the jagex folder because it doesnt have permissions.

I have been using a personal client i made which deletes the UID since RSC up to this day, i have multi logged in, traded etc (i train 2 accounts at once daily) and i have never been banned.

Attached is a program to read or delete your UID, try loading RS and deleting it and reloading RS.

EDIT: To multi login delete the UID after it has been created when loading the applet, mess around with my program and learn when it is created and when to log in etc…

You need the .Net framework version 2 if you want to run the program (google it)

It's clean, and does what it's said to do, delete/edit your UID..

I assume you're pretty skilled in java then?

What language did you make the app in?

Going to try it

The app is in C#, probably should mention you need the .net framework as well :)

I would like to add that the button to change worlds in RS does not give you a new UID, reloading the client (F5 or going back to world switch menu) will.

So if you log in, do some autoing, change worlds (using the button) and log into your main expect a chain ban.

Great way of clarifying this stuff !!1one!eleven1!. You put it in a straightforward, concise manner.

The ideal thing as far as my thinking goes would be a client that reads or creates a UID on every login rather than only the initial login. Then you could either have a unique UID consistently used for each individual character that it would sub in upon login or you could have it overwrite the current UID with a new one on every login. I don't know anything about java or if Runescape would be able to detect that you were using a client modified in such a way but if that were feasible that would be awesome.

Only thing i can think of which is quite possible is to manually change the id or with eg scar have a plugin which changes the id based on characters.

i dont think it would be possible for a client as the client wouldn't know which character is logging in.

Would be possible though if the rs client was modifiable and undetectable.

this is basicly what a UID is.

if they see you're on the UID 2929 and the ip 123.123.123.123 they say okay he's player1

then the rest etc.

if they see you autoing on that ID they monitor that ID and if you log in to your main they ban it, just because they're gay like that.

if that IP and ID changes they flag you as stolen or sharing.

if this sharing continues they ban you…again because they're gay.

if you never log on that IP again they lock you and never unlock you because they're fucking gay like that..like i said before.

well, that's what i think;p

They wont ban you unless the ip change is very obvious, eg your ip was xxx.au then the next minute xxx.jp.

And the last comment is total bs.
