After reading the threads about UID and speculation its encryped and contains data about your accounts like usernames and passwords id like to clear some things up.
Heres the code from the applet itself.
All it does is generate an id and writes it to uid.dat. The file is not encrypted and contains only a number.
But why?
UID stands for unique ID, and thats all it is. The file contains a random number to ID the computer.
It prevents multiple logins + it ID's the computer.
Logging in with the same IP + UID suggests that you're on the same computer.
You can get around it by using signed + unsigned but this method is shit, unsigned takes to long to load and is laggy. The simple way is to just delete the uid.dat after logging in.
From memory unsigned doesnt access the UID in the jagex folder because it doesnt have permissions.
I have been using a personal client i made which deletes the UID since RSC up to this day, i have multi logged in, traded etc (i train 2 accounts at once daily) and i have never been banned.
Attached is a program to read or delete your UID, try loading RS and deleting it and reloading RS.
EDIT: To multi login delete the UID after it has been created when loading the applet, mess around with my program and learn when it is created and when to log in etc…
You need the .Net framework version 2 if you want to run the program (google it)

int i = -1;
Random random = new Random();
for (; i == -1; i = random.nextInt())
{}
DataOutputStream dataoutputstream = (new DataOutputStream(new FileOutputStream("uid.dat")));
dataoutputstream.writeInt(i);
dataoutputstream.close();
