Following this http://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml really should give you full details on what screens to open up and where to put the path.

Windows 8

Drag the Mouse pointer to the Right bottom corner of the screen
Click on the Search icon and type: Control Panel
Click on -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
Close the window.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Windows 7

Select Computer from the Start menu
Choose System Properties from the context menu
Click Advanced system settings > Advanced tab
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Windows XP

Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
Close the window.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Windows Vista

Right click My Computer icon
Choose Properties from the context menu
Click Advanced tab (Advanced system settings link in Vista)
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
Reopen Command prompt window, and run your java code.

Yo, i did that. Downloaded JDK, pathed it. went to cmd –> wrote javac, lots of information came up (meaning the pathing was succesful). I tried it again, running as adminstrator. Didnt work. my script is set to pascal, and i deinstalled everything, then installed again.

Still the same message pops up: Fatal Error: Unable to spawn a SMART client
HINT: Make sure you have the lastest java version, and try running simba as admin
Successfully executed.

I did check my java, and its up to date. Do u think it has somethign to do with smart 8.3? ive read it has had some problems lately. The script i keep trying to run is elvyys pc.
I did remove anti leaches (if there were some). But i dont think the problem is in script?

O btw, when i start the script a text comes up very quickly from c:\windows\System\java.exe —> "Couldn't find or load main class files"

Sorry, I'm not exactly going to be the fastest responder all the time here and it's fine by me to offer some help.

As for java versions, I'm pretty sure I'm up to date, and I haven't seen an issue with my SMART 8.3. OpenGL has had some issues, but that's all Runescape side as the official client is hurt as badly as we are, so there's not much we can do about that…

Would you mind including your entire path variable as it is now? Just copy paste the entire value parameter (not just the java portion).

C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_51\bin <— I suppose u mean that ?

GameBoih

2014-02-05 10:56:56

And the variable name is: Path

Kevin

2014-02-05 13:20:38

Well damn. I was really expecting conflicting references or something possibly.

Does OSR use OpenGL?

Can we get someone familiar with OSR here to help?

"No. IIRC, it's all run in software." said one admin

I've been keeping an eye on this topic and I'm familiar with OSR.. It'd be a lot easier to help you if you posted links to the guides you followed, and also told us what version of simba you are trying to run it with.

See what happens when you change this line from the top of the PC script: {$DEFINE SMART8} to this: {$DEFINE SMART}
It's hard to offer advice when I can't see which tutorial you followed and to what extent..
Have you been able to get SMART clients spawned with other scripts for OSR?

-http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106693, I tried alot of guides. But when i reinstalled everything i used this guide step by step.

-Also i downloaded Simba from the guide: "1. download the newest simba (stable version): Simba download", and it`s the Simba 1.0? I think.

-Also the Smart wont load in any script, though haven't tried with rs3. But seems, the problem with smart isn't directly connected to the script.

GameBoih

2014-02-06 06:34:54

And ye, i did try changing {$DEFINE SMART8} –> {$DEFINE SMART}. Didn't work either. My java is Version 7 Update 51, which is the latest. At least for windows

When you enabled extensions, did you check for updates in each? You should have new menu items in Simba, do (Extensions>Check for Update), (SRL>Check for Update), (Plugins>Check for Update), (SPS>Check for Update). Close Simba and re-open.

Before you try anything else, can you get the normal runescape client to run? See this post: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107960&p=1283828#post1283828
I think the current release of Simba is 1.0.4, if you still can't spawn a client (and you have definitely extracted smart into your plugins folder correctly), there could possibly be a bug with that version of Simba.. Try the version that most people have had success with: http://simba.villavu.com/bin/Release/1.0/SimbaInstaller.exe

Ye… Excatly the same problem with the Simba u linked. Did everything u said, + used the guide http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106693.

This is excatly i "installed" Smart 8.3. Upon downloading Simba, I updatated and enabled all the "necessary" extensions. After that downloaded SRL-OSR and put it in the includes. After that i opened Smart 8.3 with winrar, i dragged all the files inside into the folder called plugins (C:\Program Files (x86)\Simba\Plugins), it asked for adm. permission, I gave it and it proceed to add the files to the folder, it asked me if I wanted to replace eight files, I pressed yes. Downloaded reflections put them into C:\Program Files (x86)\Simba\Includes\SRL-OSR\SRL. After that i opened Simba as admin, opened my script from downloads. Filled all information necessary in the script. Removed the mini antileach and ran the script. A black box (commandbar) flashed for 0,5sec then this came up:

I REALLY REALLY appreciated for your help too, and all the time you put in. If it doesn't work, too bad.. :/

GameBoih

2014-02-06 08:36:39

And final thing: Whenever i open simba a blackbox appears fast, and it says: Setting LastConfig/MainFOrm/RecentFile/File2 to Failed to write C:\Progrm Files (x86)\Simba\Settings.xml

GameBoih

On commandbar it says as i start script:

Smart: Failed to pair - No client by that ID

First, try to run this script (set your interpreter to lape (Script>Interpreter>Lape)):
program new;
{$DEFINE SMART}
{$i srl-6/srl.simba}

begin
SetupSRL();
end.
Does it spawn a client? If no, then the problem is likely to do with java..

Edit: Another possibility is that your settings file has got "C:\Simba" hardcoded in it.. So try moving your Simba folder from "Program Files" into "C:\" directory, and run the PC script again (remember to put the script interpreter back to pascal).

Where the hell is the download button. "Download this file for free using Tiny DM manager (exe app)" Nothing happens with that -_-

Wholy jesus, it worked "Another possibility is that your settings file has got "C:\Simba" hardcoded in it.. So try moving your Simba folder from "Program Files" into "C:\" directory, and run the PC script again (remember to put the script interpreter back to pascal)." THANK YOU SO MUCH
